MANY readers contacted us yesterday to let us know that Owen Wilson is "the blond funnyman with the distinctive nose," not brother Luke whose hair is brown and whose nose is less distinctive. Our mistake. Luke is filming "Vacancy" with Kate Beckinsale, and in response to our report of dissension on the set, Screen Gems chief Clint Culpepper assures us he is thrilled with Luke. "We really want to work with him again," said Culpepper, who bought "Blonde Ambition" as a vehicle for Luke and Jessica Simpson.

The Human Torch may get denied a bank loan again. Will Ferrell has announced his intention to make a sequel to his 2004 TV news spoof, Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy. The actor recently spoke about the proposed project while doing press for his next release, Stranger Than Fiction, at the Toronto International Film Festival. Ferrell even knows what he wants to see happen in the film. "I would love to do a sequel," the actor told The Toronto Star. "I was thinking, all of a sudden, for no reason, he’s a European correspondent and has to do foreign languages which he knows nothing about." And you know he doesn’t speak Spanish. The biggest obstacle in the project’s way is time. Ferrell and his filmmaker pal Adam McKay are swamped with a bunch of other projects, namely Step Brothers. The paper suggests that Ferrell and McKay might be willing to "put (Step Brothers) on the back burner and get going on an Anchorman sequel." Columbia Pictures, the studio behind Talladega Nights, snapped up Ferrell and McKay’s pitch for Step Brothers in August. McKay and Ferrell would write the script for producers Judd Apatow and Jimmy Miller. Filming was reportedly set to begin next summer.

 Six weeks after announcing her separation from Black Crowes frontman Chris Robinson, 39, on August 14, Kate Hudson is ready to make the split stick. "She is filing for divorce imminently," a friend tells Us Weekly. A major motivation: You, Me and Dupree costar Owen Wilson, 37. "As soon as she files, it relieves a lot of the pressure of going out with Owen," says a friend of the actress, who has shared dinners, soccer games and a trip to Hawaii with Wilson recently. The actor "makes Kate laugh," says a source. "She’s much more true to herself when she’s with Owen." Hudson’s still in contact with Robinson about their son, Ryder, 2. "Chris calls and checks in," says the source. "Kate has never been happier." (Reps for Hudson and Wilson had no comment.)
