Tonita Castro passed away on May 8th from cancer at the age of 64 according to Deadline. Although her name might not be familiar to you, you will know her face. The actress had a way of stealing every scene she was in. On Go On she didn’t speak English, but you knew what she was saying. She was the reason to tune into Dads every week because they always gave her the best bits and she delivered them perfectly. Sometimes she didn’t have to say anything and she would make you laugh.
Today remember her with a huge smile by watching one of her many roles.

Prince’s musical genius was silenced today because he passed away at the age of 57. According to TMZ he has been suffering from he flu for the last few weeks.
The best way for me to remember him today is to share the lyrics to song Let’s Go Crazy because I am at a lost for words. It seems like the perfect way to remember him today. That and listening to all of his songs or watching Purple Rain.
Dearly beloved
We are gathered here today
To get through this thing called life
Electric word life
It means forever and that’s a mighty long time
But I’m here to tell you
There’s something else
The after world
A world of never ending happiness
You can always see the sun, day or night
So when you call up that shrink in Beverly Hills
You know the one, Dr. Everything’ll Be Alright
Instead of asking him how much of your time is left
Ask him how much of your mind, baby
‘Cause in this life
Things are much harder than in the after world
In this life
You’re on your own
And if the elevator tries to bring you down
Go crazy, punch a higher floor
If you don’t like the world you’re living in
Take a look around you
At least you got friends
You see I called my old lady
For a friendly word
She picked up the phone
Dropped it on the floor
(Ah, ah) is all I heard
Are we gonna let the elevator
Bring us down
Oh, no let’s go!
Let’s go crazy
Let’s get nuts
Let’s look for the purple banana
‘Til they put us in the truck, let’s go!
We’re all excited
But we don’t know why
Maybe it’s ’cause
We’re all gonna die
And when we do (When we do)
What’s it all for (What’s it all for)
You better live now
Before the grim reaper come knocking on your door
Tell me, are we gonna let the elevator bring us down
Oh, no let’s go!
Let’s go crazy
Let’s get nuts
Look for the purple banana
‘Til they put us in the truck, let’s go!
C’mon baby
Let’s get nuts
Yeah
Crazy
Let’s go crazy
Are we gonna let the elevator bring us down
Oh, no let’s go!
Go crazy
I said let’s go crazy (Go crazy)
Let’s go, let’s go
Go
Let’s go
Dr. Everything’ll be alright
Will make everything go wrong
Pills and thrills and daffodils will kill
Hang tough children
He’s coming
He’s coming
Coming
Take me away!

Joanie Lauer aka Chyna passed away at the age of 45 from an apparent overdose according to TMZ. She is best known as one of the greatest female Wrestlers ever. But many other people know her from the VH1 reality shows she did. She appeared on The Surreal Life, The Surreal Life: Fame Games and Celebrity Rehab. She was big in stature, and her personality was even bigger.
Today let’s remember her for that and keep her larger that life spirit alive.
Doris Roberts passed away at the age of 90 yesterday according to TMZ. Even though she has been gracing our televisions since the ’50s, she is best known for a role she started playing 45 years later. That role is Marie, the tough but loving mother, on Everybody Loves Raymond. Her comedic timing on that show made it the classic it became while it was still on the air. But that was just one of her many roles, she also had some very memorable guest star roles on shows like All in the Family, Soap, Barney Miller, Alice, Full House, Lizzie McGuire, Hot In Cleveland, Desperate Housewives and Major Crimes to name a very few. She loved acting so much, she never stopped. She was still acting even though she just entered her 9th decade on this Earth.
So today honor her legacy and watch one of her many wonderful roles to keep her spirit alive. And make sure to watch at least one episode of Everybody Loves Raymond, so she can hear our laughter wherever she is now.
