I love sitcoms. I look forward to new ones whenever they come out. I hate https://www.cbs.com/shows/fam/. The new comedy debuts on CBS tonight at 9:30p and I highly suggest skipping it.
Nina Dobrev plays Clem, a woman who just got engaged to a man with a perfect family. She told Nick (Tone Bell) and his parents (Sheryl Lee Ralph and Brian Stokes Mitchell) that her father is dead and she does not talk to her teenage half-sister. Cue, her troubled sister coming back into her life with her dead father (Odessa Adlon) who is very much alive. Now, Shannon (Odessa Adlon) is moving in with her sister and future brother-in-law, and Clem has to tell her new family all about her old one. Something she does not want to do because she wants absolutely nothing to do with the worst father of the year. Her new family wants to merge with her old one for the upcoming wedding and it is all going to become one huge unfunny mess.
I will start with something positive Ralph and Mitchell are the highlights of the show. Now the negative or everything else. I have been a fan of Dobrev’s since Degrassi, but comedy is not for her. Or it could be the lame forced jokes they wrote for her and the cast. When a show is a chore to watch, then it is not worth watching.
Allure challenged Nina Dobrev to do 9 things she has never done before and I don’t think she will do all but one of them again. They were things like play an accordion, ask the magic 8 ball some questions and put a Bump It in someone’s hair. The worst of them was the Skip It, a retro toy that was popular before she was born. She failed miserably at it, but she looked cute while doing it.
Her favorite one seemed to be guessing which cookie was for humans and which one was for dogs. When she guessed wrong, she decided to take a bite of the dog treat. You know what, she liked it. Maverick better watch out because mommy is coming for your treats.
Dobrev actually did 10 things and the final one was a bonus one. That is when she sat on 5 Whoopie Cushions at the same time. When they all did not go off, she got a shocking surprise when she tried it again.
Maria Menounos is co-hosting Live with Kelly and Ryan today with Ryan Seacrest and she decided to scare her friend Nina Dobrev, who is a guest on the show today.
Dobrev decided to get revenge on her scarer, so the actress snuck up behind her when she made her entrance on the daytime talk show. Menounos did not see it coming, so Dobrev’s prank was better. Mostly because the first one was done in private and the second one was done on live television.
I hope after the show ended, they both scared Seacrest. Why should he be left out of the fun?
I am normally not one who likes to talk about fashion, but I am in love with the Dior black and silver link gown that Nina Dobrev is wearing. It makes everything, including her, glow.
I would totally buy it if I could afford it. But I am sure it costs more than my car! And it will never look as good on me as it does her. On her, she looks like she made RuPaul’s song, Supermodel (You Better Work) come to life. Seriously, isn’t that dress to die for?
Most women have a favorite shoe, but it is an expensive heel or fashionable boot. Nina Dobrev has a pair of comfortable unicorn slippers. Or should I say had? That’s because while she was cooking, the food went all Vampire Slayer on them. She got out the carpet cleaner, but it was too late. Now they are dead as Elena was last season. Let’s have a moment of silence for them they had a good life.
