On Monday, we are getting the biggest sporting event of the year. If not the decade. Joey Chestnut and Takeru Kobayashi are going to battle it out for the first time in 15 years.
The two competitive eaters are going to see who can eat the most hot dogs in 10 minutes and finally determine who is the Hot Dog of the hot dogs.
Unlike the Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest which takes place on July 4th, there will be rules.
They are:
RULE #1: 10 mins contest to eat the most Hot Dogs & Buns
RULE #2: NO Dunking or Pouring Water on Hot Dogs & Buns
RULE #3: NO Separation of Hot Dogs from Buns
RULE #4: Penalties may be issued for breaking of rules, or regurgitation
RULE #5: 30 Seconds to Finish what’s in their mouths at end of 10 minutes
RULE #6: Excess crumbs are weighed and deducted from scores if necessary
RULE #7: Tie Breaker — 3 minute overtime. Should a second overtime be necessary, winner will be first to finish 5 Hot Dogs & Buns
Who do you think will take home the Custom Championship Title Belt? I am hoping it is a tie after tie after tie because I don’t want this contest to ever end!
Rob Riggle and Nikki Garcia will host the once-in-a-lifetime event, which will be called by Cari Champion and Chris Rose.
Since Netflix needs more than 10 minutes of content, there will be a pre-show featuring the only man who beat Joey Chestnut in 15 years.
Competitive eater Matt Stonie will take on three decorated Olympians in a fight for who can eat the most chicken wings. They include: nine-time Olympic Medalist in swimming Ryan Murphy, Bronze-Medalist in water polo Max Irving, twelve-time Olympic Medalist in swimming Ryan Lochte.
Competitive eater Leah Shutkever will attempt to set yet another Guinness World Record LIVE, as she tries to eat the most watermelon ever consumed in three minutes!
Chestnut VS. Kobayashi: Unfinished Beef will stream live at 3p EST/12n PST on Netflix.
Forget the Olympics! Forget Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul! Forget Kamala Harris vs Donald Trump! The biggest battle of the year is between Joey Chestnut and Takeru Kobayashi.
On September 2nd, the two competitive eaters will go mouth-to-mouth to determine who is the true hot dog eating champ live on Netflix in Chestnut vs Kobayashi: Unfinished Beef.
This is the first time they have competed together in 15 years.
World Record-Holder for eating 76 hot dogs in 10 minutes, Joey Chestnut has been dominating the Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest for the past eight years. A six-time Nathan’s Hot Dog champion, Takeru Kobayashi is no stranger to professional eating. He brought fame to the sport in 2001 when he won his first Hot Dog Eating Championship by eating double the amount of hot dogs the previous record holder ate, and continued to hold that title for many years. While rumors swirled about his retirement, Kobayashi is here to stay.
This all came about because Nathan disqualified Chestnut for promoting another company’s vegetarian wieners. Nathan’s loss is our gain because this is even better than the annual July 4th ritual.
When Netflix added its subscription with ads, they discontinued their Basic ad-free subscription for new members. However, they let members who had it, keep it.
Today, I got an email telling me they were discontinuing that plan, and I will be switched to the basic plan with ads on my next billing period. If I want, I can choose to upgrade to one of their other plans.
Well, I don’t! So, in September, I will Netflix & Break Up. Instead if they have something I want to see, I will watch it when I donate platelets at the Red Cross.
Netflix, we had a good thing, but you are not worth watching with ads and too expensive without them.
Don’t overeat and over-drink on Christmas Day because you are going to want to be up early on December 26th. Why? Because that is when Netflix is finally dropping the second season of Squid Game.
Three years after winning Squid Game, Player 456 remains determined to find the people behind the game and put an end to their vicious sport. Using this fortune to fund his search, Gi-hun starts with the most obvious of places: look for the man in a sharp suit playing ddakji in the subway. But when his efforts finally yield results, the path toward taking down the organization proves deadlier than he imagined: to end the game, he needs to re-enter it.
Now that you are all happy, I have some sad news. Netflix has already picked up the Korean drama for a third season. However, it will make like almost all of the contestants and die.
The final season will premiere in 2025.
Hwang Dong-hyuk, Director, Writer, and Executive Producer of Squid Game, wrote a letter to the fans. To see what he wrote, then click here!

Stranger Things is filming its final season as you read this, and many of us would love a whiff of what is going on. We can’t get it.
While we can’t get that, Bath & Body Works is letting us get a whiff of four three-wick candles that are inspired by the show starting tomorrow for a limited time.
Steve’s Scoops with notes of vanilla ice cream, golden waffle cone and parlor sprinkles
Inspired by Scoops Ahoy, the ice cream parlor located in Starcourt Mall’s food court where Steve and Robin first met.
Argyle’s Pineapple Pizza with notes of baked pizza dough, juicy pineapple and fresh basil
Inspired by the restaurant chain Surfer Boy Pizza and named after an employee who claimed all ingredients were fresh but the pineapple.
Hopper’s Coffee with notes of roasted coffee grounds, tonka bean and a splash of half and half. Inspired by Jim Hopper, Hawkins Chief of Police, famous for saying “Mornings are for coffee and contemplation” when faced with urgent matters.
Eleven’s Waffles with notes of frozen waffles, maple syrup and melted butter
Inspired by the main character’s obsession with frozen waffles after being introduced to them by her boyfriend, Mike Wheeler, the leader of the group.
This is the second collaboration between the streamer and the scents store. They previously created products inspired by Bridgerton.
