Tonight at 8p on CBS, Bob Newhart gives an unforgettable performance on NCIS. The TV legend plays the man who was the medical examiner before Ducky and he comes back to visit his old haunt. He goes along on their case and observes how things have changed since he has been there. It is a great look advancements of NCIS through the years. And make sure to watch the episode all the way through for a powerful ending that only Bob Newhart can deliver. Seriously have your tissues ready cause you are going to need them.
Through my tears, I smell another Emmy for him!!!
Fox announced their new mid-season lineup and American Idol is moving to Wednesdays and Thursdays. I have to wonder if Fox is afraid of TV’s top rated shows CBS’s NCIS and ABC’s Dancing with the Stars and that is why they are movingIdol away from them. Plus there has been plenty of speculation that AI will no longer be TV top rated show for the season now that Simon Cowell left the show and he is being replaced by Steven Tyler and J-Lo, and moving it nights where there is less competition might help its ratings? The good news is Bones is getting a great lead-in at 9p on Thursday, the bad news is that Fringe is moving to the Friday deathslot against Supernatural. American Dad also was given the writing on the wall because Fox moved it to Sundays at 7:30p, although looking at the preview of Bob’s Burgers it might get its old time slot back and the writing might be erased. Hopefully!

So I was going through YouTube and I see a video labeled “NCIS -Snakes on a Plane”, so I decided I had to watch it. I thought hey maybe Tony DiNozzo (Micheal Weatherly) and Ziva (Cote de Pablo) might be investigating a person who brought snakes on a plane. But no…I was completely off as you will see in that clip above. Seriously what a cheesey use of a movie reference on CBS’s #1 show.
Granted I might just be a little more sensitive this week because I watched a horrible movie on SyFy this Saturday that was basically Snakes on a Sub and if they do a sequel (I pray not), it would be Snakes on a smaller Plane.
BTW back to NCIS, poor Michael Weatherly getting his a$$ kicked by a girl…LOL!
CBS’s #1 show NCIS celebrates a huge milestone tonight at 8p, it celebrates its 150th episode. On tonight’s special episode we meet Tony DiNozzo’s (Michael Weatherly) dad Tony DiNozzo played by the legendary Robert Wagner.
When Tony’s dad comes to town everyone is curious about him including Tony Jr who is trying to figure out why now he is choosing to come back into his life after all these years. As the team tries to get some alone time with Tony Sr, Tony Jr is using his investigative skills to find out more about him. What he finds out changes the way he looks at him and puts their relationship in trouble. How far will he go to protect his father or will he do something that could end their ties forever? What is great about this show besides all the chemistry between the cast and Robert Wagner, is the change between two of the characters closeness because of of Tony DiNozzo’s reappearance into his son’s life.
Tonight’s episode Flesh and Blood is a perfect way to celebrate the show turning 150, so make sure to watch it!
And make sure to watch the episode all the way until the end for a cooking tip I can’t wait to try. Can you believe that?
CBS has picked up their two hugely successful Tuesday night shows NCIS: LA and The Good Wife for the season. The pick ups should come as no surprise especially since NCIS: LA is the second most watched primetime show for the week. Not bad for a brand new show. The Good Wife is also doing well in the ratings and with the critics. Are you guys as hooked on these shows as much as I am?
