After what seems like forever, Trial & Error is back on NBC tonight at 9p and you do not want to miss the first two episodes.

Josh Segal (Nicholas D’Agosto) is no longer a North Easterner because he has moved to East Peck. What is the best housewarming present you get for him? How about a new murder case for him to work on?

Lavinia Peck-Foster (Kistin Chenowth)is town royalty. Everyone loves her because she uses her money to spoil them. She can literally get away with murder. Or can she? That is the question we will all be asking after her husband’s dead body is found in the trunk of her car. Out of all the lawyers in East Peck (there is no one else), she asks Josh to defend her.

He is more than excited to take on her case, but his employees are not. If he gets her off, they are heroes. If she is found guilty, then they will all become North Easterners before you can say North Easterners.

Carol Anne Keane (Jayma Mays) is still the opposing counsel and she has other stuff on her mind and someone else in her belly. Is it Josh’s? We do not know, but we do know that these two will still have their hot and cold relationship that is extremely hot in the courtroom.

Josh’s coworkers Dwayne Reed (Steven Boyer) and Anne Flatch (Sherri Shepherd) are also back and they are really nervous about this case. Will the murder board get them excited? Murder board, murder board, murder board! Yes, we still have the murder board. Anne still has her odd idiosyncrasies while Dwayne still has his mishaps.

And then there is East Peck, it is a city like no other. Which is why we love it so much!

Trial & Error is the type of show you need to record and watch a few times to get all the jokes. I am pretty quick on catching jokes and even I don’t get them all the first time. They are very smart, but they do not make you feel stupid. They make you think and laugh at the same time. It is what a real comedy needs to be! So watch the first two episodes tonight for the first time. Then watch them over and over again until the next two episodes air next week. Rinse and repeat until the second season finale.

In May 2017, the networks announced which shows they were bringing back and some new ones that were joining them. Several heard their names again a year later, some did not and a few others were left waiting to find out their fate. The last one to find out if had a future or not, found out on Friday. That show might have been called Champions but it did not win a second season from NBC.

And now we move on to the new season that starts in less than 3 months. There are some good shows, some bad ones and one that is so depressing you will need to make a therapist appointment right after you watch it. And that was not the show that made me cry…

NBC wanted to cancel Timeless after its first season, but the fans rallied hard to get it a second one. The show changed things up for the second season and it was for the better. Sadly, the ratings were worse. Therefore, NBC decided that they had no more time for the show about time.

The show’s creator Eric Kriptke wrote, “Gutted by this, guys, I know you are too. Behind the scenes, Sony has been trying hard to set it up elsewhere, but no luck so far. I think this 2 hour movie is our best shot. We’re ready to make it if @nbc really wants it. Let ’em know how you feel. #clockblockers.” And they he added, “THANK YOU cast, writers, crew and most all all, the #clockblockers for your brilliance & passion. I love you all. I was proud to bring a little positivity & inclusion into this f-d up world. I will keep my personal thoughts about network TV private until we get this movie made. One last thing: whether there’s a show or not, we’re all family now. We’re all #clockblockers, baby.”

The show’s other creator Shawn Ryan had this to say about the cancellation, “This is a sad day for the writers, actors, crew and especially the viewers of Timeless. We are all extremely proud of what we made and know that it was more than just a show for so many of our fans. It became a passion and a cause for many of them.We’re proud of the impact @NBCTImeless had on so many people – the students who embraced history as a result of our show, the people who were inspired by our stories of inclusion and acceptance. We saw your tweets and were inspired by you. If NBC is sincere in wanting a 2 hour movie to give much needed closure to our amazing @NBCTimeless fans, we are ready to make it. We don’t want the journeys of Lucy, Wyatt, Rufus and the others to end yet. #ClockBlockers.”

When it comes to how I feel about it, I really hope they get the two-hour movie. The show’s second season was educational besides being fun. They taught me about Robert Johnson and I have been listening to his music ever since. And that is just one of the many examples of why I loved Timeless so much. The cast, the writing and the history lessons. I learned more from Timeless than I did in high school. Granted I didn’t take history in HS, but you know what I mean.

We are three months and five days away from the start of the fall television season. I know this because NBC announced when their old and new shows will have their season premieres. So mark your calendars because you do not want to miss the return of This Is Us and the start of New Amsterdam right afterward on September 25th. Actually, you do not want to miss any of it.

Out of all of the networks, I think they have the strongest lineup. Hopefully, you will enjoy it as much as I do!

Marlon Wayans show is back for a second season tonight at 9p on NBC and you do not want to miss the back-to-back episodes every Thursday night.

If you missed season one, then here is the basis of the show. Marlon and Ashley (Essence Atkins) are recently divorced but he still spends most of his time at his ex-wife’s house. Not to hang with their two teen kids (Notlim Taylor and Amir O’Neil), who are more mature than him, but because he is still not over being married. It also does not help that his freeloading friend (Diallo Riddle) is living at his apartment. What makes him want to get out his old house is his wife’s BFF (Bresha Webb) and they hate each other. They are both very sassy.

Now that you are caught up, here is what you can expect. Tonight, Marlon is Ashley’s wingman as she tries to meet a new man at a club. She needs a lot of help, and he is too busy getting it on with the bartender. What happens next, you will never expect.

Next week, his sisters (Kym Whitley and Yvette Nicole Brown) come to town and they do not their brother is divorced. He asks Ashley to pretend that they are still together. What is the worst thing that can happen? Lots of laughs and NBC needs to give them a sitcom ASAP.

In the final episode I saw, Ashely and Marlon go to marriage counseling to work on their divorce and even she thinks they need to be divorced. Will Marlon finally take things seriously?
