Nothing says Independence Day than the annual Nathan’s Hot Dog contest at Coney Island, so here are the final minutes of skinny people downing their weight in hot dogs and buns. According to ESPN the three-time consecutive champ, Joey Chestnut set a new world’s record eating 68 hot dogs. So in honor of this contest go eat a hamburger because I don’t think I can a hot dog today after seeing that.

One of the best part of July 4th is the Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest and this year’s did not disappoint! I can’t believe they both ate 64 hot dogs without hurling. I am ready to hurl and I didn’t have any!
Joey Chestnut is the new reigning champ in the annual Nathan’s Hot Dog contest at Coney Island after eating 66 hot dogs in 12 minutes. I have to tell you I am so nervous to watch these competitions because one year the runner up totally threw up all the hot dogs he just ate when time was up. And I had a nightmare that night that it ended by looking that famous scene in Stand By Me. OK I am so having flashbacks now…ewwww.
Does anyone know if this competition will continue next year since they are destroying Coney Island soon?
