The actors are on strike, so that means that a majority of them are not working. Therefore, instead of Nathan Fillion walking the beat on The Rookie, he was walking the line
outside a studio.
And since he is not filming, he can grow whatever facial hair he wants, so he grew a mustache. Now, he looks more like a cop than he does on his ABC procedural.
Hopefully, AMPTP will come to the table and agree to give the writers and actors what they deserve ASAP. This way, everyone can get back to work, and Fillion can shave that thing above his lip.
ABC announced today that The Rookie will be back for a sixth season.
The renewal is not a surprise because it does well on any night they put it on. That and after reading the synopsis for the season finale on May 2nd, it sounds like they are ending with a cliffhanger.
After one of their own is shot, the team suffers a series of close calls and realizes their division may be a target for a group of masked assailants. Whose life/lives do you think will be in danger? Is it wrong I am rooting for Jenna Dewan’s character to die?
The Nathan Fillion starrer will join Abbott Elementary and Grey’s Anatomy on ABC’s 2023-2024 schedule.
Today was a good day for the ABC dramas that have The as the first word in their title. That is because the network picked up The Good Doctor and The Rookie for another season.
The news is not a surprise because The Rookie, which stars Nathan Fillion, might be getting a spinoff. While the show that stars Freddie Highmore as The Good Doctor had a creative resurgence this season. I just don’t ever want to hear the latter talk about sex again. Please stop and leave that up to Grey’s Anatomy,
On that note, these two dramas join Grey’s. Station 19 and Abbott Elementary on ABC’s 2022-2023 schedule.
ABC picked up The Goldbergs, The Conners, Home Economics, The Rookie, and A Million Little Things for another season. However, they canceled Call Your Mother with Kyra Sedgwick.
The five shows will join The Good Doctor, Station 19, Grey’s Anatomy, Big Sky, Black-ish, Shark Tank, Supermarket Sweep, Celebrity Wheel of Fortune, American Idol, and America’s Home Video next season.
Still waiting for their fate are Mixed-ish, American Housewife, For Life, and Rebel.
Before Nathan Fillion was The Rookie on the police force, he was a Master Warrant Officer in Ordeal in the Arctic. He looks the same now as he did when he was 21 in that 1993 movie.
