Lose Yourself in the sign language version of Eminem’s rap!

Shelby Mitchusson translated Eminem’s song into sign language, and she captured the emotion of the song with her body like he did his voice. In ways, she might have made the song even more powerful. Don’t you think?

They Might Be Giants have a giant gift for their fans!
February 23rd, 2015 under Music, They Might Be Giants. [ Comments: none ]

If you love They Might Be Giants as much as I do, then you are going to love the fact that they are giving away an album for free on their site. Not just any record, but a live version of Flood to honor its 25th anniversary.
Last year, when the Johns were touring Australia, they were so overwhelmed by the love they were getting from the land Down Under that they decided to do something special for them. To make one of their sold out shows ever more memorable for their fans, they told Yahoo! Music that they played Flood in its entirety during one of them. The band recorded their performances on the tour and from those recording we get a free album.
Almost all of the songs sound just like did a quarter of a century ago, but some of them have a new sound. The opening to Istanbul (Not Constantinople) will amaze you. Birdhouse In Your Soul will make you feel like you are at the show. That is, if you close your eyes and start Whistling in the Dark.
This album is a must have for fans of music and TMBG.
I will admit, I am promoting this digital download, even after one of the Johns called me strange, many many moons ago. I can’t remember what I said to get that response, but it still hurts. Listening to live version of Flood makes it a little better, just a little bit.

Proof Country music sounds alike?
January 9th, 2015 under Luke Bryan, Music. [ Comments: 1 ]

Sometimes if you are not familiar with a genre of music, it all sounds alike to you.
Well, Sir Mashalot took six Country songs and mashed them all together as one song. If you didn’t know it was six different singles, you would swear it was just one. How scary is that?
So listen to Sure Be Cool If You Did by Blake Shelton, Drunk on You by Luke Bryan, Chillin’ It by Cole Swindell, Close Your Eyes by Parmalee, This is How We Roll by Florida Georgia Line and Ready, Set, Roll by Chase Rice as one tune and see if you can tell them apart. I mean the voices sound different, but the melody sounds the same.
BTW is it wrong, I want to see more people do this with other types of music like Rock’n’Roll, Jazz, Pop and Rap to name a few for starters?
xoxo Jen!

Does this OK Go video let you down?
October 27th, 2014 under Music. [ Comments: none ]

OK Go is the King of Music Videos for the new century and they want to wow you with their new one. I Won’t Let You Don’t Down starts off slow, but then there is a moment that will leave you in awe for the rest of it. Once it all syncs together, you won’t be saying that their latest let you down.

Luke Bryan’s crotch attracts light!
August 8th, 2014 under Luke Bryan, Music. [ Comments: none ]

Luke Bryan was on Good Morning America today and he posed for a picture to let the world know what his hashtag is for the performance. But I wasn’t looking at the sign, I was looking at the ball of light by his, you know, balls. Who knew he had flashlight down there? The last time I saw a guy’s, you know, light up like that, was when we tried a glow-in-the-dark condom. Although my guy’s, you know, didn’t have the angelic glow that the Country singer’s does in this photo.
