Gabriel Iglesias is going to guest star on Modern Family and he looks just like on of the show’s stars. When I looked at this photo of him with Ed O’Neill and Sofia Vergara, I honestly thought he was Rico Rodriguez. I was looking dead center and then when I noticed Manny on the side, I was like which one is which. One of them could be cloned from the other one. Did you think Iglesias was Rodriguez and vice versa?
There was a recently a report in Forbes that Modern Family is ending next season, but no one asked any of the cast members if it is true. Today when Ed O’Neill was on Ellen DeGeneres’ show, she straight out asked him.
The show’s patriarch told her, “We are contracted through 10 and then it is open ended, but the feeling is it is probably going to be it.” Then when she asked if the rest of the cast feels the same way, he said, “I don’t know how they feel about going on, I just, you know we are contracted through 10 and then we’ll see. But I don’t know.” It is almost like he spoke when he shouldn’t have because the network has yet to announce next season as the final one. What do you think?
He also talked about how he got the job, almost lost it and then got it back it, and what is next for him when Modern Family officially ends.
Will you be sad to see this sitcom go away? I don’t know about you, but I am ready to move on.
And make sure to watch the whole interview above to hear how he doesn’t recognize the most famous of stars in the world when they tell him that they are a huge fan.
The cast of Modern Family signed on for 2 more seasons in May, and now the creators are hinting that next season will be its last. Forbes is reporting that the show’s creators Steve Levitan and Christopher Lloyd confirmed that they are ending the show with season 10. Even though Modern Family might end as a whole, Forbes said they are looking into doing a spinoff.
Is the news a surprise? Not really, the show has taken a big hit in viewership this season. Therefore, the cost does not justify keeping it around.
Will you be sad when it ends? Personally, out of all of the sitcoms I watch on ABC, I watch this one last every week. I do not enjoy watching it anymore, I just watch it out of loyalty.
For some reason Modern Family has Gloria and Jay Pritchett dressed up like a hooker and her pimp in the '80s and I am sure the episode will do well in the ratings. What do you think of Sofia Vergara in that LBD, fishnets and thigh-high boots?
