I try my hardest to never repeat myself with the Before They Were Famous posts, but in the case I have to. That’s because Michael Keaton talked about his experience working on Mary Tyler Moore’s Variety Show with David Letterman during his last appearance on The Late Show. The two established men spent several minutes talking about how horrible it was, and then they finally showed the clip from the short lived 1978 variety show that also included Swoozie Kurtz. After you watch the clip, you will see why it was short lived.

With a little luck sometime I come across a really phenomenal Before They Were Famous, tonight there was a lot of luck on my side because I hit the trifecta. Here is a 27 year old Michael Keaton, a 31 year old David Letterman and a 34 year old Swoosie Kurtz singing and dancing on Mary Tyler Moore’s variety show Mary back in 1978.
I don’t know about you, but I can’t stop watching one of the greatest moments on television that barely anyone has ever seen!
I really hope and pray that David Letterman recreates this moment on The Late Show before he retires. What a fantastic dream that would be!
Ever wonder what Bruce Wayne would look like if someone morphed the 5 actors who played him into one person. Well thanks to morphinapg we know how the Caped Crusader would look as Adam West, Michael Keaton, Val Kilmer, George Clooney and Christian Bale. And looking at the 5 Batmen as one Bruce Wayne, I think he looks a lot like an Arrow as in Stephen Arnell who plays another DC Comics legend and friend of Batman! Don’t you think so?
BTW here is the super GIF showing how the 5 became 1!
via ScreenRant Toy Story 3 is getting some toys when it comes out on June 18th and one of them is a Ken doll. Michael Keaton is going from Batman to Ken Doll. I am not sure if that is a promotion or a demotion when it comes to action figures, but what I do is it is a role he was born to play. I have always thought he was a Ken since I Beetlejuice! I just hope for Michael Keaton’s sake that the Ken doll is not built the same down there!
BTW that is not Heidi Montag playing the Barbie Doll. Sorry had to go there!!!
Before Michael Keaton was an editor for The Paper, he was a radio reporter on Maude. Didn’t the 25 year old look a lot like Donny Osmond in that 1977 episode with the gorgeous head of hair?
