Look it is The Fly, Birdman and Big Dick Richie

One of the cool things about the Vanity Fair Oscar party is that it brings celebrities together who normally would not hang out. Yesterday’s shindig was able to let three Pittsburgh boys shoot the breeze about the Pirates and the Steelers. That is what they talked about, right?

Now that we have seen Jeff Goldblum, Michael Keaton, and Joe Manganiello as a trio, who wouldn’t love to see them do a film? They could do a remake of La Cage aux Folles or a modern-day take of The Three Musketeers.

Before Michael Keaton was the Dark Knight protecting Gotham City in Batman, he was doing standup at the Gotham City Comedy Club. How funny was the actor in his early 30’s back in the early ’80s?

BTWF roles: What is Michael Keaton on Mister Rogers?
February 7th, 2018 under Before They Were Famous, Michael Keaton. [ Comments: none ]

Before Michael Keaton was scaring kids as Beetlejuice, he was entertaining them on Mister Rogers. Just like Batman, he has not aged a day since he was 23 in that 1975 episode.

I love that his before they were famous was a Jeopardy answer and they got it.

Before Michael Keaton was Mr Mom, he was on Mister Rogers Neighborhood. Doesn’t it bring a huge smile to your face to see the 23 year old on the feel good Children’s show back in 1975?

I try my hardest to never repeat myself with the Before They Were Famous posts, but in the case I have to. That’s because Michael Keaton talked about his experience working on Mary Tyler Moore’s Variety Show with David Letterman during his last appearance on The Late Show. The two established men spent several minutes talking about how horrible it was, and then they finally showed the clip from the short lived 1978 variety show that also included Swoozie Kurtz. After you watch the clip, you will see why it was short lived.
