The Squishmallows make like the McRib and return to McDonald’s
May 14th, 2025 under Fast Food, McDonald's. [ Comments: none ]

Two years ago, McDonald’s made children happy by including Squishmallows in their Happy Meals. And now, they are back!

This go-around, there are 12 pocket-sized cuties, including the never-before-seen Intergalactic Axolotl named Halley, included in the kids’ meal. Each Squishmallows comes with a character hang tag, telling you the name and a little about each Squish, plus a code to scan and immerse yourself in an interactive game.

Since my niece is addicted to them, I am going to be eating a lot of Happy Meals in the near future while supplies last. Thankfully, I can get a Big Mac for $1 more. That and I am allowing trades in my Buy Nothing group, so I don’t have to worry about doubles!

The McRib is back!
November 20th, 2024 under Fast Food, McDonald's. [ Comments: none ]

Last week, I was talking to a friend, and I told him that I can’t believe McDonald’s didn’t do the McRib this year. Yes, my conversations are really that boring.

Anyways, he told me that he heard it was coming back soon. This morning, I got a text confirming that it is coming back on December 3rd.

“The McRib is more than a sandwich – it’s a part of culture, it’s a legend, it’s an event,” said Tariq Hassan, Chief Marketing and Customer Experience Officer at McDonald’s. “McRib SZN is a holiday unto itself, so we wanted to embrace that spirit and give fans an even bigger way to celebrate this year with A Whole Lotta McRib Sauce.”

That’s right. This year, McDonald’s is selling a half gallon of A Whole Lotta McRib Sauce for $19.99. However, there is a catch. It is only available on November 25th and while supplies last. So, if you want one, which I do, then set your alarms to go off at 10a on Monday. Actually, don’t because you might buy the last jug before I get mine. So don’t tell anyone about this.

McDonald’s new McFlurry tastes like grandma
May 16th, 2024 under Fast Food, McDonald's. [ Comments: none ]

When you were a kid, did your grandma give you sucking candies, like Werther’s Originals, from her purse? If she did, then you know it was a sweet treat and an even sweeter memory.

McDonald’s wants you to remember those sweet times, so they came up with a McFlurry that tastes like our grandmothers. The creamy vanilla soft serve features a delicious syrup and chopped, crunchy candy pieces.

“Grandmas have always held a special place in our hearts, and today they’re having a major moment influencing culture – inspiring trends in fashion, decor and now, even food with our newest McFlurry,” said Tariq Hassan, Chief Marketing and Customer Experience Officer at McDonald’s. “The Grandma McFlurry tastes like a trip down memory lane, and we’re excited to give our fans that experience while honoring the grandma-figure in all our lives.”

Does that sound like something you have to have? The Grandma McFlurry will be available from May 21st and will last as long as supplies do.

Emma Stone McDonald’s order is the most poor thing
February 27th, 2024 under Emma Stone, McDonald's. [ Comments: none ]

Emma Stone and Mark Ruffalo interviewed each other for LAD Bible, and they discussed their go-to meals at McDonald’s.

The Hulk gets a Quarter Pounder with cheese and no onions. Because onions make his butt smash, aka give him gas. And that is normal and OK.

So what does his Poor Things co-star get? She orders a #2, which is a cheeseless cheeseburger with no condiments. That’s right, just the meat and bun.

I would rather eat the shit pie from Help over that. Well, maybe not. But they probably both taste the same.
