Before Mayim Bialik was dating a child genius who went to college when he was a kid on The Big Bang Theory, she was seeing one on Doogie Howser. She looks the same now as she did when she was 14 in that 1989 episode.
BTW even though it has been almost 28 years since she shot that episode, she is still getting paid the big bucks for it.
Mayim Bialik has been very vocal about many different things, but for the next month she will be silent. Why? The actress revealed that she sprained her vocal cords and the doctors prescribed her to be silent for a whole month. Which is not going to be easy for the actress who is also a mother of two young boys who are out of school for the summer. Luckily for her, Miles will be her voice when she needs one. But when he does something wrong, because that is what boys do, she has to try her hardest not to yell at him. Moms will feel her pain.
Will this ailment effect The Big Bang Theory? As of now, it should not. The #1 sitcom begins filming in 6 weeks, so if all goes well she will be making up for lost words by the time show is back in production.
In 11 days, it will be 22 years since Blossom said goodbye and yesterday two of its stars said hello in NYC. Mayim Bialik caught up with her TV brother, Michael Stoyanov, and for some reason she says that, “He is helping unzip my dress outside of a dive bar in the village.” She didn’t explain why so we can only assume the reason.
Too bad she is busy with The Big Bang Theory because how awesome would it be for a Blossom reunion? Disney Channel would totally eat that up as would we.
BTW I just realized her three biggest career projects all have B’s in the titles, Beaches, Blossom and The Big Bang Theory. What is up with that? Does that mean she is a B-List star?
After almost a year of speculation whether or not this will be The Big Bang Theory’s last season, we finally know the answer. Put your soft kitty away because CBS announced today that the show was picked up for two more seasons. The press release did not say if all seven cast members will be back, but I am pretty sure they will be.
Is the news a surprise? Of course not, it is the #1 scripted show on television and it is doing phenomenally in syndication, so it makes sense that they will want to keep it around.
Now, if these are the last two seasons, check back in a year from now when we will start speculating on that again. Personally, I think they will be the final two seasons because how much longer can they keep this going? It is already starting to feel a little tired.
Are you happy the show will be back for seasons 11 and 12 or were you hoping that the show would end?
Back in 1988, we got to know Mayim Bialik and Marcie Leeds in a little movie called Beaches where they played the little version of leads. Now 18 years later, they are recreating the roles that made them stars in honor of the late Garry Marshall, the Director who took a chance on them.
It is almost like they are still the 11 year old versions CC Bloom and Hillary Whitney. So much so, that I don’t know why Lifetime didn’t cast them to play the leads in their remake. How brilliant would that have been?
