Jonah Hill was a guest on Jimmy Kimmel Live yesterday and the ABC late night host wanted to know if that was him in that scene from The Wolf of Wall Street or did he pull Marky Mark ala Boogie Nights. Up until yesterday’s appearance, he hadn’t talked about if his pen!s made an appearance in the movie because he saved that answer for Kimmel.
The actor knew that scene was coming and he couldn’t wait to see the prosthetic the prop department got for him to wear in the movie. He was hoping for something impressive, but all he got was a crappy Dildo. So he wanted to know from director Martin Scorsese how it was going to work in the movie because it looked so bad in person. Scorsese assured him that they would fix it in post and as we know they did.
I wonder how many actors will be doing nude scenes thanks to much needed help from CGI!
Martin Scorsese was a guest on Conan O’Brien’s show tonight and the TBS late night host asked him about using a Quaalude expert on his movie, The Wolf of Wall Street. It was then that the director admitted he used the drug. Although it was prescribed to him back in the day when it was legal, so that he would be able to fly. Did it work? Of course it did, you saw the Oscar nominated movie.
Before Martin Scorsese hired actors to shoot people in his movies, he shot them himself in Mean Streets. How cute was the 30 year old in that 1973 movie?
The Wolf of Wall Street is in the record books for using the word f*ck the most times in any movie. According to Variety you can hear the f-word 506 times during the 180 minute film, that is 71 more times than the next film on the list, Summer of Sam. Overusing the word is nothing new for Martin Scorsese, who has two other movies in the Top 20. Those films are Casino with 422 and Godfather at an even 300. So maybe the Oscar winning director’s middle name should be fuckin’ as in Martin Fuckin’ Scorsese, since I am sure that is what a lot of people already call him when describing his work.
While most grandmother’s would be bragging that their grandkid is in a Martin Scorsese film, Jonah Hill told David Letterman on The Late Show that it’s the opposite for him. When he told her that his playing a “drug addicted stock broker who cheats people out of money”, she got quiet and then told her grandson she didn’t like it. So when he asked her what he should do, she told him to ask Scorsese to give him a different role. That is a tough decision for him: defy his grandmother or stand up to one of the greatest directors ever. I guess we will have to wait until The Wolf of Wall Street comes out to find out what he did.
