Fox has a thing for strippers!!!
October 7th, 2009 under Bones, Fox, Lisa Edelstein/Hugh Laurie/House. [ Comments: none ]

Sex sells and Fox is using that tactic to get you to watch their shows!!! James Hibberd posted this new RedBand ad that will be running to promote their shows. The ad features a mash up of four of their dramas (House, Lie to Me, Bones and Fringe) all going to strip clubs and watching strippers. I never realized before this ad how many of their episodes deal with strip clubs, did you? BTW their dramas aren’t the only ones because their animated shows Family Guy and American Dad have also visited a strip club or two.
To the writers of the Fox shows, as a woman I would love to see one of your shows go to a male strip club! I think that is only fair!!!

The producers are cleaning House again
September 24th, 2009 under Lisa Edelstein/Hugh Laurie/House. [ Comments: none ]

Another member of House’s staff is leaving the show. According to EW’s Michael Ausiello Jennifer Morrison aka Cameron will be leaving the show during November sweeps. He added that she didn’t quit the show, but her departure is due creative reasons. There are been reports that House’s old staff would be working for him again and how many people does he need working under him? So it looks like she was the one that was getting the cut. Unlike the last two doctors that worked under House, for a time, that left the show, her character will not die off.
I am not surprised they are letting her go, now that married she Chase what was left for her character to do? Are you going to miss her?

BTWF music videos: Hugh Laurie in Annie Lennox’s Walking on Broken Glass!

Before Hugh Laurie was having problems walking as House, he was Walking on Broken Glass for Annie Lennox. How much fun was it to see the 32 year dressed up as an 18th century Englishman George, the Prince Regent in that 1992 video?

House is back in the (mental) House tonight
September 21st, 2009 under Lisa Edelstein/Hugh Laurie/House. [ Comments: none ]

House is back with a two-hour season premiere tonight on Fox at 8p and what a season premiere it is. Tonight’s episode is not your typical House episode because instead of him being a doctor in a hospital trying to find out what is wrong with his patients, he is a patient in a mental hospital. On the behind-the-scenes feature on the DVD that was sent out for review, Executive Producer Katie Jacobs, who directed tonight’s episode says that the season premiere feels more like a telemovie than your typical House and she is so right. Even though it doesn’t feel like House, it is still House and will make you more excited for the upcoming season because Dr Gregory House goes through a transformation that will change him forever and I can’t wait to see how.
Katie Jacobs also said unlike previous season premieres this one picks up where the last one left off. House has just entered the facility and it will follow him through his entire time there. Being House he doesn’t want to be there, but when he is told if he leaves early the doctor won’t sing the letter that will clear him to practice medicine again so he stays. At first he puts up a fight, and when House is bad he is very very bad. But when he realizes that doesn’t work he finally decides to accept the help he needs. Seeing House go through a major change during the season premiere really makes me wonder what we are going to get this season and I will be there every Monday at 8p on Fox to watch it happen!!! But before that happens check out tonight’s season premiere to see how the new and improved House comes about.

Hugh Laurie ready to hang up his cane?

Is Hugh Laurie ready to hang up his cane? According to Daily Mail the fake limping is too much for his hip and knees.

‘The show might last through to series seven, eight or nine but I don’t know if I will because I’m starting to lose my knees. It’s a lot of hip work. There are things going badly wrong. I need to do yoga.’

I understand that he is suffering for his art, but I hope he can continue because I love him as House and can watch this show forever! And let me tell you tomorrow’s season premiere is excellent!
BTW Laura Innes had the same complaint when she was on ER.
