House is back with a two-hour season premiere tonight on Fox at 8p and what a season premiere it is. Tonight’s episode is not your typical House episode because instead of him being a doctor in a hospital trying to find out what is wrong with his patients, he is a patient in a mental hospital. On the behind-the-scenes feature on the DVD that was sent out for review, Executive Producer Katie Jacobs, who directed tonight’s episode says that the season premiere feels more like a telemovie than your typical House and she is so right. Even though it doesn’t feel like House, it is still House and will make you more excited for the upcoming season because Dr Gregory House goes through a transformation that will change him forever and I can’t wait to see how.
Katie Jacobs also said unlike previous season premieres this one picks up where the last one left off. House has just entered the facility and it will follow him through his entire time there. Being House he doesn’t want to be there, but when he is told if he leaves early the doctor won’t sing the letter that will clear him to practice medicine again so he stays. At first he puts up a fight, and when House is bad he is very very bad. But when he realizes that doesn’t work he finally decides to accept the help he needs. Seeing House go through a major change during the season premiere really makes me wonder what we are going to get this season and I will be there every Monday at 8p on Fox to watch it happen!!! But before that happens check out tonight’s season premiere to see how the new and improved House comes about.
Is Hugh Laurie ready to hang up his cane? According to Daily Mail the fake limping is too much for his hip and knees.
‘The show might last through to series seven, eight or nine but I don’t know if I will because I’m starting to lose my knees. It’s a lot of hip work. There are things going badly wrong. I need to do yoga.’
I understand that he is suffering for his art, but I hope he can continue because I love him as House and can watch this show forever! And let me tell you tomorrow’s season premiere is excellent!
BTW Laura Innes had the same complaint when she was on ER.
After years of teasing us House and Cuddy and finally get it on tonight on Fox at 8p! While part me is happy to see them become Huddy, the other part of me is going that is a huge Jump The Shark and I am not ready to see this show go down hill.
So are you excited to see these two play doctor in the bedroom?
Before Jennifer Morrison worked for House, she was Richard Gere’s ballerina daughter in Intersection. How cute was the 14 year old actress in that 1994 movie making her onscreen debut? You can barely tell that is the same person who plays Cameron, but her hair gives her away.
So it has been hinted for the last few weeks that someone was going to die on House and that person was likely to commit suicide, and tonight we found who it was and how. When the suicide rumor came out, I thought it was going to be Taub because of all the signs leading up to it, so boy was I blown away when it was Kutner and not him. I mean there were no signs leading up to it, not there are always are but still. It just seemed forced because it was so unexpected.
Maybe because I was blogging and watching House, but I thought the episode could’ve and should’ve been better. I think House needed to have more of a reaction which might happen in the upcoming episodes. I don’t know, there was just something missing. Am I the only one who feels that way?
BTW Fox set up a Lawrence Kutner Tribute page if you want to leave a message.
I am going to miss Kal Penn on the show. All I have to say is we better get a third Harold and Kumar out of this and one that is funny like the first one and not sh!tty like the second one!!!
UPDATE: EW’s Michael Ausiello (who spoiled lat night’s House for me) spoke to Kal Penn who is leaving House for The White House. What were the people at House going to do when he told them he was leaving to work for the President? Tell him that is the show after ours or no you can’t go work for Obama?
