What’s new Tonight: Marlon and Growing Up Supermodel
August 16th, 2017 under Lifetime, NBC, Wayans Brothers. [ Comments: none ]

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bJbsxybmswA
Marlon Wayans is getting his own comedy Marlon on NBC tonight at 9p and he is just a highlarious as his older brothers.

The show focuses on him being a recently divorced dad with two teenage kids, and he is more immature than them. Even though, Marlon and Ashley (Essence Atkins) do not live together anymore, he spends just as much time there as when they were married. Something Ashley wishes he would do less of.

If that is not enough people in her house, her best friend Yvette (Bresha Webb) is over all the time along with his BFF Stevie (Diallo Riddle). Yvette, who is sassy, and Marlon do not like each other in the least. Then there is Stevie, who has been out of work for 2 years and sleeps on Marlon’s couch.

What about the kids, Zack (Amir O’Neil) and Marley (Notlim Taylor)? Marlon will try his hardest to raise them right, but since he is a big kid that does not always work out the right way. But he is always there when they need him. Like when the school’s quarterback uses Marley to get a good grade.

They are today’s version of a modern family who find themselves in interesting situations like when Ashley wants to have sex and thinks it will be OK to do it with Marlon. That goes just as bad as you would think it would.

If you are looking to laugh with your kids, then this is the show for you…even if you do not have kids.

Then at 10p but Lifetime is a reality show with some of the biggest last names in Hollywood. Growing Up Supermodel is a show that follows celebrity kids who trying to make in modeling.

There is Ricky Schroder’s daughters Cambrie and Faith, who are dealing with their parents divorcing. Shanna Moakler and Oscar De La Hoya’s daughter Atiana, Kelly Le Brock and Steven Seagal’s daughter Arissa, Beverly Peele’s mini-me Cairo and finally Krista Allen’s son Jake. Their parents names get them through the doors, but they have to work to stay there.

You will see them struggle to make it on their own while getting advice from their parents who have been through it all before. It is a new look at what it is like to be a child of celebrity.

Menedez: Blood Brothers is bloody good
June 11th, 2017 under Lifetime. [ Comments: none ]

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pl5BFPkqzWQ
There is a new interest in the murders of Jose (Benito Martinez) and Kitty Menedez (Courtney Love), tonight at 8p Lifetime gives there version of the Menedez: Blood Brothers.

On August 20, 1989, Lyle (Nico Tortorella) and Erik Menedez (Myko Oliver) shot their parents to death. Their father was a huge Hollywood producer, so their murders dominated the newscasts. No one knew who did it until Erik confessed to his psychiatrist and his brother threatened him. Then we knew that the brothers murdered their parents in cold blood.

Why? Was the next question. Did they do it for money? Their trial was covered by the news and they alleged that their abusive father molested them, especially Erik. That was something they focused on during their first trial and that one ended in a mistrial. They were tried again and this time they were both sentenced to life for killing their parents.

But what happened before that sentencing is what tonight’s movie delves into. While the movies from the ’90s covered their lives leading up to the murders, this one focuses more on their time afterwards. It also focuses more on the sexual abuse than the others. There is another twist in this one that was not seen before. One that makes it more interesting.

As with each new telemovie, you learn a little more about what happened. Making them all intriguing. This one is definitely the most intriguing of them all. Whether you have been interested the case before or this is the first time, this telling will keep you captivated from the beginning to the end.

Lifetime tells the story of a University P0rn star!
January 26th, 2017 under Lifetime. [ Comments: none ]

College is so expensive, the only way to pay for it is to sell your soul. Or for one Duke student it was to sell her body. Miriam Weeks (Haley Pullos) became a P0rn star to pay her tuition and now Lifetime is telling her story on February 11th in Straight A’s to XXX.
While the telemovie seems more like something that should be on Skinemax, I am sure Lifetime will do it justice. As in it will be so awful, it will be awesome!
February is shaping up to be a great month for the network, they are starting if off with James Franco back in High School Lover, then this the following Saturday followed by Britney Ever After on the 18th. Forget going out to see a movie, stay in to Lifetime & Chill!

Lifetime gave James Franco another telemovie
January 25th, 2017 under James Franco, Lifetime. [ Comments: 1 ]

Remember when James Franco remade Mother, May I Sleep with Danger? I know I am still trying to forget about it too. Well, Lifetime didn’t forget and now they made another movie with him.
On February 4th, he will be starring in and executive producing High School Lover.
According to the press release the description of the MOW is, “When 17-year-old Kelly (Paulina Singer) hits the town for a wild time with her friends, she isn’t expecting to meet Hollywood’s hottest ‘it’ guy, Christian Booth (Francois Arnaud). After a night of intense flirting, Kelly assumes that she’ll never hear from him again, but she is happily surprised when Christian begins texting her. Despite their age difference, Kelly is smitten with her new crush. Even after Kelly’s father, Rick (Franco), discovers their relationship and forbids Kelly from seeing Christian, nothing will stop her from being with him. But soon Kelly discovers that Christian’s adoration is turning into a dangerous obsession as the truth about his past slowly comes to light.”
Sounds like another Emmy winner that we will all be watching. Hopefully, this movie will be so awful it will be awesome. As compared, to being so bad it is painful.

Are you going to tune in for Britney Ever After?
January 23rd, 2017 under Lifetime. [ Comments: none ]

Lifetime just released the first trailer for Britney Ever After that airs on February 18th and I am shockingly looking forward to watching it. It looks like it will cover all those toxic and infamous moments. As happy as I am that she is better now, I admit I can’t help but look at an accident as I drive by it. This telemovie looks like just that.
