Dance Moms the show that no one wants to admit they’re watching is back!!!
January 10th, 2012 under Dance Moms, Lifetime. [ Comments: none ]

Dance Moms is back for a second season on Lifetime at 9p and you will feel even more guilty watching this pleasure. Abby Lee Miller is ready to get her national champions back into the smaller competitions and she is tougher on the girls than she was last season. Even though they won the title and shot a music video she still feels that they need to do a lot of work and are never good enough for her standrds. At one point she says that Chloe has let being the lead in the video go to her head, but I think that the show has gone to the dance teacher’s head. You know I think that Miller’s ego is the size of her waistline and we all know that she don’t have a small one. In fact my favorite line tonight is when one of the moms says if she was going to get Miller a present it would be a three-month membership to Weight Watchers. Me and Ow! Can you guess which Dance Mom said that?
Miller is not only yelling at the girls she is yelling at the moms too. She scolds one mother for not attending rehearsals because she is opting to work instead. Miller tells the cameras that that mother doesn’t care about her kid because it should all be about the dancing. When that mom finally shows up, Miller disses that girl to her. Who does that?
Shortly after the show starts Miller announces that she is looking for another girl to join the group to replace Vivi-Anne and that might not be the only replacement in the dance group. Will all the girls that we go to know, love and feel sorry for be back for season two or will some of them be gone?
Tune in to find out on the show that people are embarrassed to watch, but just can’t get enough of. If you have never (honestly) seen the show, tonight is the perfect time to start. I promise you will be as addicted to it as I am, even if you won’t let anyone including me know that you are.
Then at 10p 24 Hour Catwalk makes it debut on Lifetime and it is like the whole season of Project Runway in just one day and one episode. Four contestants are all given an everyday garment that they have to transform into fashion in a short time and then the judges will eliminate the bottom the two. The two that get to move one will have just 24 Hours to create a fashion line to walk the Catwalk and after the fashion show is done there will only be one. Then next week we get to start it all over again.
If you think that Project Runway has gotten tired, this show will wake you up.

Rosie O’Donnell and Dance Moms’ Abby Lee Miller need I say anymore
December 21st, 2011 under Dance Moms, Lifetime, Rosie O'Donnell, Strange Encounters. [ Comments: 1 ]

Rosie O’Donnell and Dance Moms’ Abby Lee Miller met up at the show Lysistrata Jones and I wonder how Broadway was able to hold the two of them on one stage. Not only because of the size of their guts, but also because of the size of their mouths. Can you imagine these two women together? Even ear plugs wouldn’t be able to save you from their loud voices.
Someday we might find out what the these two women are like together because Rosie wants to book her on own OWN show. At least we can hit the mute button when that happens. My dream come true if that happens is to actually see Abby Lee Miller dance? Seriously has she ever done anything other than scream and complain on the addictive Lifetime show that is back on January 10th. Tell me I am not alone at wanting to see how she dances since she always says that she is such an amazing dance instructor. I just want to see her dance, dance, dance!

Against the Wall hits Lifetime’s wall
December 11th, 2011 under Lifetime. [ Comments: none ]

Lifetime has opted not to renew Against the Wall according to one of the star’s of the cancelled show. Brandon Quinn Tweeted, “I’d like to thank @lifetimetv, the #AgainstTheWall writers and the Amazing fans of Against The Wall but unfortunately we’ve been canceled :(” I think the problem with this drama it had Treat Williams and Kathy Bates starring as Abby’s parents, yet it didn’t utilize their amazing talents. If they would’ve Treat more, I sincerely think the show would be still on the air. Well that and if it was more entertaining, but it moved to slow and never made you like any of the characters.

There is One Born Every Minute for America’s Supernanny!
November 29th, 2011 under Lifetime. [ Comments: none ]

Tonight at 9p on Lifetime there is a new Supernanny and she is much different and I think much better than the one we knew on ABC! America’s Supernanny Deborah Tillman seems so much warmer than the last one who seemed a lot like her name, you know Frost. Tillman has to deal with the same issues, but she handles them in a new way. So it is like getting a new and improved show that parents can learn how to deal with the troublesome kids.
But before they become kids that Tillman has to work with, there is One Born Every Minute at 10p on Lifetime. In tonight’s episode things get so heated between to brand new grandmas that one is taken to the emergency room and the other one is sent packing after they get into a physical fight. But it isn’t only about quarreling grandmothers, it is about three women welcoming life into the world and the nurses that help them do it.
Can I tell you I thought that One Born Every Minute would be great birth control, but it was just the opposite it makes me want to be a mom and give birth to my future demon spawn ASAP.

Five short stories of breast cancer equal one amazing movie!
October 10th, 2011 under Lifetime. [ Comments: none ]

Tonight on Lifetime at 9p Five stories of breast cancer are intertwined in this touching movie that will make you cry. Three of the Five shorts are directed by A-List name Alicia Keys, Demi Moore and Jennifer Aniston and they will wow you from behind the camera.
The first story directed by Demi Moore is about a young girl in 1969 not understanding why her family won’t let her see her mom and suddenly so secret around her.
The next story directed by Jennifer Aniston (is my least favorite) and is about a woman who beat breast cancer and goes back in time until we see her finding out about her diagnosis.
The third directed by Penelope Spheeris is the most powerful one as it tells the story of a stripper diagnosed with breast cancer and will need a full mastectomy to survive. It is something she doesn’t want to do as her husband begs her to. What will she do?
The fourth one directed by Alicia Keys is my favorite, it will have you laughing as crying as Rosario Dawson as a independent workaholic who tries to conceal her diagnosis from her mom. When her sister spills the beans, now Rosario has to do all she can not to get her family to go with her for the surgery.
The final tale, is that one that ties the five stories together and that is all I will say about this one. That and it will be the one that has you finish up your tissue box.
Five is a must watch because everyone at some point in their life will be affected by breast cancer, so watch a movie with Five strangers going through it.
