Lea Michele was a guest on Therapuss, and she talked to Jake Shane about Glee, Funny Girl, and her upcoming tour.
At one point, their conversation took a turn. The actress revealed that she was on the debate team in high school, and she wrote arguments to plead her case. So, the rumors about her not being able to read really upset her.
Because she can read, and proved it by taking Shane’s notes and reading them.
So while she showed us that she can indeed read, she did not help her case when it comes to being a bitch.
Because as she was talking to him, she came off as so unlikable, I found myself liking her even less than I already did. And I don’t like her.
For example, she explained to the host why she finds that rumor so upsetting. “I fucking get so frustrated by it because I’m one of the only women in my whole family to get accepted to college,” she said to him. “You know my mother and my mother’s whole family was extremely poor from the Bronx, not very well educated. And my parents moved me from the Bronx to New Jersey to get a good education and to thrive. And I did. And my parents and my family are so proud of that, and it really was so important.”
I am from The Bronx, and I could go all Bronx on her. But why? She might be able to read. But she is not smart enough to realize that she should try to clean up her bitchy image. Because if a Funny Girl movie is made with her as Fanny Brice, the awards show will ignore her like she is Rachel Zegler, Jeremy Renner, or Jennifer Lopez. Being likable helps. Glee was a long, long time ago, and we have moved on from her.
Leah Remini has been hosting People Puzzler on the Game Show Network for three seasons. Therefore, you would think that she would know that you are not supposed to give away the answer when reading the clue.
However, that is exactly what happened on an episode recently. While asking Erin what word goes after “O Brother, Where Art ____,” she accidentally said, “thou.” Thus revealing the answer.
As soon as she realized her mistake, she covered her mouth and then cowered behind her podium. Because what else are you going to do? That, and laugh it off.
I wish this happened more often because I like seeing game show hosts with imperfections and not being perfect like Ryan Seacrest tries to be.
Lea Michele and her husband, Zandy Reich, are the proud parents to their second child, a daughter they called Emery Sol. The baby girl has a big brother, Ever Leo, 4.
The couple were longtime friends before they started dating in 2017. The following year, they got engaged and tied the knot in 2019, just days before the pandemic shut everything down.
I hope their children fill them with lots of glee!
Lea Michele has some news to share. No, she did not announce that she is doing a Funny Girl movie. At least, not yet.
Instead, the actress is working on another production. One that it looks like she started as soon as she finished the Broadway run of Funny Girl. The Glee star is full of glee because she is expecting her second child with her husband, Zandy Reich.
The couple, who just celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary, are also the parents to Ever Leo, 3.
