I will openly admit that I have never seen Joquin Phoenix’s Joker. I have no temptation to. It is too dark and depressing.
However, that does not mean I am not interested in the movie and its sequel, Joker: Folie à Deux, with Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn.
But after watching the first trailer, I will not be seeing this because it looks too fucked up for me. It is the same reason why I don’t like modern-day horror. It is too psychotic, and after working in hard news for many years, I have had my fill. So, I am good on the criminally insane.
What did you think? Will you go see it on October 4th? Will Lady Gaga get her first Oscar?
As much as I like Lady Gaga’s music, I like her as a person even more. She has been wonderful with the ailing Tony Bennett. She was so caring to Liza Minnelli at the Oscars last year. And this year, she was the first person to run to help a fallen photographer.
Say what you want about the singer, but how many other people would turn around and rush to help a stranger? Watch the video, and you will see she was the only one who did.
In a world full of Will Smiths, be a Lady Gaga.

Lady Gaga received her fourth Oscar nomination this year. Her single Hold My Hand from Top Gun Maverick is nominated for Best Original Song.
Therefore, we expected her to sing at tonight’s Academy Awards. However, on Wednesday, Oscar producer Glenn Weiss said she would not be performing because she is too busy working on Joker: Folie à Deux and wouldn’t be able to give an Oscar-worthy performance.
That was then. Today, Variety is reporting that she will be singing after all. She will be joined by Rihanna (Lift Me Up from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever), Rahul Sipligunj and Kaala Bhairava, David Byrne (This Is Life from Everything, Everywhere, All at Once), Stephanie Hsu and Son Lux (Naatu Naatu from RRR), and Sofia Carson and Diane Warren (Applause from Tell It Like a Woman), who will be singing their nominated songs.
Do you think Lady Gaga will bring home her second Oscar statuette tonight? She previously won in this category for Shallow from A Star is Born.
Lady Gaga will be at the Oscars on Sunday, but her look from the 2019 Academy Awards was immortalized by Madame Tussauds Hollywood. That was the year she won Best Original Song for Shallow from A Star Is Born.
So it makes sense the wax museum would capture one of her best nights. Not only because she won but because she looked gorgeous. The singer wore a black strapless Alexander McQueen gown, black leather gloves, and a 128.54-carat yellow diamond necklace from Tiffany & Co.
She mashed up old and new Hollywood with her styling from head to toe that night. So who wouldn’t want to see her look like that again? And if you can’t go to the Oscars, Madame Tussauds, which is a block away, is the next best thing.
Lady Gaga’s song Hold My Hand from Top Gun Maverick was nominated for an Oscar, but she will not be performing at the Academy Awards even though she will be attending on Sunday.
Oscars executive producer and showrunner Glenn Weiss explained to Variety, “We invited all five nominees. We have a great relationship with Lady Gaga and her camp. She is in the middle of shooting a movie right now. Here, we are honoring the movie industry and what it takes to make a movie after a bunch of back and forth…It didn’t feel like she can get a performance to the caliber that we’re used to with her and that she is used to. So, she is not going to perform on the show.”
The actress has been busy filming Joker: Folie à Deux, and because of that does not have the time to prepare for a proper performance.
While she will not be singing, we will hear performances by Rihanna, Sofia Carson and Diane Warren, Stephanie Hsu, David Byrne and Son Lux, and Rahul Sipligunj and Kaala Bhairava.
