Kevin Can Wait is basically King of Queens 2 now
June 3rd, 2017 under CBS, Kevin James. [ Comments: none ]

Yesterday, CBS announced that Leah Remini was joining King of Queens, I mean Kevin Can Wait, as a series regular and it was like cool. It meant that we would get to see Kevin James and her together again on a weekly basis.

But then today TVLine reported that they fired Erinn Hayes, the actress who plays his wife, because they are going in a “new direction.” How do you just fire the new wife for the old one? I get it, the show was the #1 new comedy, but it was no home run out of the park; but it doesn’t mean you make that much of a change. Especially, since that is what the show was built around, a family.

On that note, no word if the rest of his family would still be part of the new show or not.

When it comes to Hayes, she Tweeted, “True, I’ve been let go from the show. Very sad, I had a great experience season 1. Thank you for all the support from our wonderful fans.”

What do you think of the changes? I don’t watch, so I don’t care. I just find it interesting.

BTWF talent shows: Kevin James on Star Search
September 19th, 2016 under Before They Were Famous, Kevin James. [ Comments: none ]

Before Kevin James had a lot of fans, he was telling jokes about fans on Star Search. It is no surprise the 30 year old won 3 times in row back in 1995 because that routine was hysterical.

The wait is over for the Big Bang wedding and the premiere of Kevin Can Wait
September 19th, 2016 under CBS, Chuck Lorre, Kevin James. [ Comments: none ]

The Big Bang Theory is back on CBS tonight at 8p and you are all cordially invited to the wedding of Penny (Kaley Cuoco) and Leonard (Johnny Galecki). What comes with a wedding, family. We are going to meet Penny’s mom and Katey Segal has played her mother before on the show 8 Simple Rules. Also joining the show tonight is Jack McBrayer as her brother who just got of jail. Keith Carradine returns as her dad as does Leonard’s parents Christine Baranski and Judd Hirsch.
With all of those amazing guest stars, you know it is going to be a wedding we won’t soon forget.

Then at 8:30p, Kevin James returns to TV in Kevin Can Wait as a recently retired cop. His wife Donna (Erinn Hayes) is very supportive, but even she has her limits. They have 3 kids and one is away at college. That all changes when their oldest (Taylor Spreitler) comes home to tell her parents she has dropped out of college to support her fiance’ (Ryan Cartwright). Kendra’s dad didn’t even know she as dating anyone, so imagine how pissed he is.
There you have the premise for the funny comedy. A retired cop, his wife and 3 kids trying to adjust to their new life on Long Island.

Ever wonder how Kevin James cut his toenails?
July 12th, 2013 under David Letterman, Kevin James. [ Comments: none ]

Kevin James was on The Late Show and David Letterman asked what he weighs on the scale. Before you freak out, he was doing it so that he could set the King of Queens to talk about a recent pedicure he got. Why did James get a pedicure because he claims that his got “cooker” has gotten so big that he has a hard time cutting his toenails. So much so that he described to the CBS host what an obstacle it is for him to do it. Files this under things I never needed to know.

Kevin James to Jimmy Kimmel here comes the groin strike
October 12th, 2012 under Jimmy Kimmel, Kevin James. [ Comments: none ]

Kevin James was on Jimmy Kimmel Live and he decided to show the ABC late night host some self defense moves with his trainer Bas Rutten. It looks like the only one who needed protection was Jimmy Kimmel because James went after him like he was the only thing between him and a buffet dinner. Seriously how crazy did King of Queens get when he fake attacked him? Scary and yet so funny!
BTW how priceless was Kimmel’s reaction to all of the attacks?
