Nicole Kidman wanted to stay married to Tom Cruise forever. The Australian actress married Tom in 1990 and the “Top Gun” star left her just before their tenth wedding anniversary, although they stayed husband until 2001. "Honestly, I would have stayed married for the rest of my life. It’s not like I regret who I was in that marriage, I don’t at all. It was eleven years of my life. It wasn’t 50 years, it turned out to be 11”, Nicole told Vogue magazine. "You get the advice, ‘Don’t get married when you’re 22′, and you just think, ‘They don’t know what they’re talking about!’ But now I look back and think, ‘Oh, there’s probably some truth to that", added Kidman. The “Cold Mountain” star was pregnant when Tom left her, and she suffered a miscarriage shortly afterwards. They broke up for unrevealed reasons in 2001. Nicole also spoke about meeting her present husband Keith Urban, who she married this summer. "I was very wary, and damaged. It wasn’t that I’d give up hope, I was, just, asleep. But now I feel like I’ve woken up again. Rather than living through characters, I’ve learned to be myself", said the Oscar-winning star. Recovering alcoholic Keith checked into rehab last month after falling off the wagon while Nicole was away filming “His Dark Materials”. The actress flew home to Nashville to be with her husband.

The tabloids are full of stories speculating that Nicole Kidman is pregnant. The "evidence" seems to be a slightly enlarged midsection that comes and goes in paparazzi photos. Well, kids, my sources who know Nicole and know the score say it’s highly unlikely. "First do the math," says a source, "Nicole and [husband] Keith Urban haven’t been together that much recently. He’s going to be in rehab for a while longer in California. She’s making a movie in London." Then my insiders point out that Kidman has a very heavy film schedule set in stone for 2007. She starts Baz Luhrmann’s "Australia" in about three months, when — if the rumors were true — she’d be five months along. "Australia" has already been postponed once, and it’s not going to happen again. Kidman also has two or more projects which will be announced soon, I am told. There’s no time for kids.

Nicole Kidman reportedly told Keith Urban to go to rehab or their fledgling marriage was over. Urban allegedly admitted to Kidman over the phone that he had fallen off the wagon and started drinking again. Kidman found out about Urban’s problems after flying to Europe to film ‘His Dark Materials: The Golden Compass’. And with his wife away working Keith, 39, started to hit Nashville’s bar scene again. Kidman was tipped off by friends that Keith was out drinking, and called to confront him. "Nicole called Keith and confronted him," an insider told Life & Style magazine. "He got defensive and accused her of spying on him." But Urban eventually admitted his drinking to Kidman, and she flew straight back to the US to be by his side. "She gave him a choice. He could enter a program or she’d leave him," a friend of Kidman’s said. "He chose the former. Keith can’t stand the thought of life without Nicole. "That’s his motivation to kick this thing for good." And the pal says that Keith’s problems have had a massive impact on their marriage. "She’s an emotional wreck," the friend said. "She would never say it to Keith, but she’s telling her family and close friends that her marriage is hanging by the thread. "She says she wants to help Keith conquer his demons so the two of them can move on with their lives." Kidman has received support during a difficult time from ex-husband Tom Cruise and his fiance Katie Holmes. "As soon as Tom heard, he called Nic to offer any help he could give. "He said to call anytime for anything she needs," a friend of Kidman’s told the magazine. "It meant a lot to Nicole."

"Extra" has learned that Keith, whose new single, "Once in a Lifetime," is heating up the charts, just pulled out of his upcoming public appearances, including next month’s Country Music Awards and all promotional appearances for his new album, "Love, Pain and The Whole Crazy Thing." Keith was also forced to cancel his performance at Friday’s star-studded 10th Anniversary Gala for Connecticut’s Mohegan Sun Hotel and Casino, where fellow A-lister Carmen Electra told us, "I think anytime anyone is willing to get help for their situation, I think that’s a positive thing." The country superstar is currently getting help for a second time. In 1998, he entered a Nashville-area treatment center for cocaine addiction. Less than a decade later, Keith’s publicist confirmed to "Extra" that he’s fighting a battle against the bottle. But was Keith’s struggle a factor before the marriage? Reports say there is an addiction clause in the couple’s pre-nup, stating that if Keith reverts to drug or alcohol abuse, Nicole owes him nothing. While Urban’s relapse shocked Nicole and his fans, the news wasn’t surprising inside Promises Treatment Center in Malibu where many stars have sought treatment. Richard Rogg of Malibu’s Promises told "Extra," "Relapse is almost a part of the healing process." A healing process that Keith has begun once again, but this time, with Nicole by his side.

Keith Urban has checked himself into a rehabilitation treatment center, less than four months after the Grammy-winning country singer’s marriage to actress Nicole Kidman. Urban released a statement Friday that said he entered rehab Thursday night with his wife by his side. "I deeply regret the hurt this has caused Nicole and the ones that love and support me," Urban said in the statement. Urban, who turns 39 on Oct. 26, has publicly acknowledged a former addiction to cocaine. "One can never let one’s guard down on recovery, and I’m afraid that I have. With the strength and unwavering support I am blessed to have from my wife, family and friends, I am determined and resolved to a positive outcome." All immediate appearances for his forthcoming CD will be postponed. "Love, Pain, & the whole crazy thing" was set for release Nov. 7. Kidman and Urban, who were both raised in Australia, married on June 25 in Sydney. They then moved to Nashville, where Urban records. Urban won a Grammy this year for best male country vocal performance for "You’ll Think of Me."
