July 21st, 2025 under Junk Food. [ Comments: none ]

Van Leeuwen Ice Cream has come up with some original flavors, such as Hidden Valley Ranch and Kraft Macaroni & Cheese, and now they are adding Guinness to the mix. The stout is blended with their creamy ice cream and chocolate chunks.

“We’re always looking for ways to bring the bold flavor of Guinness to life in new formats, offering a modern twist to a timeless classic,” said Karissa Downer, Director, Guinness. “This collaboration with Van Leeuwen captures the simple summer joys that sit at the heart of our “A Lovely Day” campaign – like sharing a scoop of ice cream, a pint of Guinness, and time with the people who make those moments matter. It’s one more way to come together over a Guinness and enjoy your lovely days this summer.”

Lovely Day for a Guinness is being sold in a 4-pack case starting today and will be available for a limited time.

CNW Group/Kraft-Heinz Canada

Have you ever said to yourself, “Do I want a donut or a bagel,” and you couldn’t figure out which one to choose? Well, Philadelphia Cream Cheese has made it so that we don’t have to decide.

They have created the Bonut. It is the first-ever bagel donut featuring the brand’s newest cream cheese flavours on top of an uncut bagel. Those two new flavors are pineapple and blueberry.

“For over 150 years, our goal at Philadelphia has been to bring fans new and exciting experiences to elevate their everyday food occasions,” said Brian Neumann, Head of Brand & Creativity at Kraft Heinz Canada. “With flavoured cream cheese driving category growth and flavour being cited as our fans’ number one purchase driver3, we are excited to bring these new sweet products to our portfolio and share how they can elevate your bagel from boring to Bonut.”

Sadly, the Bonut will only be available on June 6th at these two restaurants: College Street Bagels in Toronto and Fairmont Bagel in Montreal. However, those cream cheese flavors are not going anywhere.
