When James Corden announced that Joseph Gordon-Levitt was going to be a guest on The Late Late Show yesterday, the actor had a surprise waiting for the CBS late night host. That present was a mistletoe, but Corden was on the stage and he was in his dressing room. Not to ruin the moment, the Third Rock from the Sun star ran out of his green room on to the stage and gave the host the best kiss I have ever seen. One that was so sexy, CBS was excited that this show airs at 12:30a. And I am just excited after seeing that.
On Sunday night after the Oscars, Jimmy Kimmel Live had their annual special. This year they made 3 movies based on YouTube hits and Joseph Gordon-Levitt starred in the one that recreated David After Dentist. While most of the actors who took part in the special just learned their lines, the 50/50 star gave it 200%. That’s because he memorized the whole video that he was recreating and recreated it for us. So watch as he acts like 7 year old who just woke up from being on some really good anesthesia.
How he doesn’t have an Oscar yet, is beyond me because he truly is the best and most talented actor in his age group.
UPDATE: Joseph Gordon-Levitt Tweeted the video with the green screen replaced with the video making it look as though he was really riding in a car. So spot on!
Before Joseph Gordon-Levitt was being bullied in 10 Things I Hate About You, he was a bully on Family Ties. How awwwwdorable was the 6 year old actor in that 1988 episode.
BTW here is JGL talking about his first guest star role on Jimmy Kimmel Live yesterday. Hearing him talk about it and then watching him on the episode made it even more horrible and yet so cute at the same time.
Zoeey Deschanel and Joseph Gordon-Levitt sang What Are You Doing New Year’s Eve? together and who else is hoping that they are doing each other? And there might be something there because here is what the New Girl wrote on her site, “I have known Joe Gordon-Levitt for going on 12 years. We first met in the summer of 2000 while doing a tiny movie called Manic, where we bonded over a mutual appreciation for Harry Nilsson and Nina Simone and I have been lucky enough to call him one of my dearest friends ever since. When we did 500 Days of Summer 8 years later, we spent every lunch hour dancing to Marvin Gaye in the hair and make up trailer; we had loads of fun. I hope to do a thousand more movies with him because he’s simply the best.” Sounds like there might be something more there? They would be adorkable together, so let’s hope they kiss at midnight on NYE…and every day after that!!!
Yesterday on Late Night Jimmy Fallon revealed that when Joseph Gordon-Levitt and him hang out they sing Karaoke. But not as themselves, but Fallon does David Bowie and Joseph does Axl Rose. So Fallon took the opportunity to show off their talent sober on the show and now we know what a duet from Bowie and Axl Rose would sound like. And I can’t believe I am saying this, but it isn’t as bad a I thought it would be worse. I think Lady Gaga would approve
