NBC announced today that this season of Blacklist, which debuts on February 26th, will be its last.

“It isn’t often that a series resonates so deeply with an audience that it airs for 10 seasons, but ‘The Blacklist’ proved to a perfect combination of highly talented producers, stellar writing, a cast that never failed to deliver and a crew that always rose to the occasion,” said Lisa Katz, President, Scripted Content, NBCUniversal Television and Streaming. “A huge thank you to our partners at Sony, everyone from the past decade who made this show an integral part of NBC’s storied history and, of course, a special nod to James Spader, whose performance remains nothing short of spectacular.”

Personally, the series lasted 9 more seasons than I thought it would. So congrats to all involved.

The news isn’t all bad in the TV world. Pictionary, the game show hosted by Jerry O’Connell was picked up for a second season.

While that series is just a baby, Family Feud was picked up for its 50th, which means Steve Harvey and his mustache will be doing the show until at least 2026.

Jerry O’Connell joins Magic Mike
January 31st, 2023 under Jerry O'Connell/Rebecca Romijn. [ Comments: none ]

Jerry O’Connell is no stranger to taking off his shirt, so it makes sense that he would join the shirtless men of Magic Mike.

Sadly, it is for one day only, and that day is Friday, February 10th. You can see O’Connell shake his money maker on The Talk with some of the best.

I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait. So I am making like Kangaroo Jack, and jumping for joy!

Now that Channing Tatum is done with Magic Mike, Mr. Rebecca Romijn should replace the actor in the franchise. I would watch actually go see him on the big screen dancing in very little clothes.

Bill Engvall walked off the set of Pictionary

Bill Engvall is a contestant on Pictionary, and he got so mad at missing an answer that he walked off the set.

What was the drawing that got him so upset? His opponent drew something that her team didn’t recognize, so they lost the point. It was then time for the comedian’s team to guess, and he thought it was a Merry-Go-Round. So, when he was told that it wasn’t, he told Jerry O’Connell, “If you say carousel, I am walking off this set.”

Well, it was carousel, so he walked off the set. The host ran after him, and he decided to turn around, sit down and play the rest of the game. You can say he went around in a circle like a carousel but without a metal horse to ride on.

BTW I wish more contestants would walk off game shows when they got the answer wrong. It would make them more exciting. But I am also evil and enjoy the mayhem!

CBS sinks The Real Love Boat, but it is rescued by Paramount+
October 28th, 2022 under CBS, Jerry O'Connell/Rebecca Romijn. [ Comments: none ]

We are a little over a month into the Fall TV season, and today we found out which is the first show banished to streaming.

That series is The Real Love Boat. According to Deadline, this upcoming week’s episode and all of the remaining ones will move from CBS to Paramount+.

The reality dating show is hosted by real-life couple Jerry O’Connell and Rebecca Romijn. Each week, they travel on a Princess Cruise Ship to romantic destinations with singles who are trying to find love. Unlike other dating programs, they bring in new singles at each port for the old ones to consider.

I think it will do better on the streaming service because it is younger and hipper. I also wonder if the series would still be on CBS if they had the eliminated singles walk the plank at the end of each episode. But I am a sadist and would enjoy seeing women in evening gowns and full makeup jump into the ocean and get soaking wet.

The Love Boat cast meets The Real Love Boat one!
October 24th, 2022 under CBS, Jerry O'Connell/Rebecca Romijn, Jill Whelan. [ Comments: none ]

In case you missed it, CBS brought back The Love Boat as a dating show starring Jerry O’Connell and Rebecca Romijn as the hosts.

Over the weekend, the crew from The Real Love Boat met the cast from the scripted series. So we got to see Doc (Bernie Kopell), Gopher (Fred Grandy), Isaac (Ted Lange), Julie (Lauren Tewes), and Vicki (Jill Whelan) together again.

They all look so amazing; I don’t know why they are reprising their roles every week on the reality reimagining. Although Lange was the premiere and Whelan will be on the show this Wednesday at 9p. So at least we get to see them.

There is only one person missing, besides the late Gavin MacLeod, and that is Charo. It is a travesty she is not entertaining the singles on the cruise! Cuchi Cuchi!
