While Jeopardy will never be nominated for a Golden Globe award, that did not stop them from doing a whole category based on the awards show. Most of the questions were pretty easy, but there was one that stumped them all. Did you get it? I didn’t. I thought it was Charlie Chaplin. Boy, was I off.
For Christmas, Jeopardy gave us people, who are not good at the game, a nice stocking stuffer. A category even we can master. The game show gave us answers to some of the biggest holiday pop culture phenomenon of the last 200 years. If you don’t get all five, then you might be a real Scrooge because who doesn’t love actually every one of those movies, songs and books.
You know how Family Feud likes to incorporate questions about Steve Harvey into the game? Well, Jeopardy finally got around to doing the same thing with Alex Trebek.
The writers had some fun and wanted the contestants to put on their medical hats and tell us what ailments the host has had through the years. That is a trip down memory lane no one wants to go down. Especially Trebek.
We know that Lady Gaga’s Little Monsters know every detail about her, but how well do the contestants on Jeopardy know her? They know her well enough to answer every question in the category dedicated to her correctly. Can you do the same? Even this Jeopardy flunkie was able to get all of those answers right. I guess you can say I was just Born This Way. Now I am off to Just Dance! Give me a Million Reasons not to.
Despite Wheel of Fortune’s Pat Sajak and Jeopardy Alex Trebek hinting about retiring soon, today we found out that that will not be happening for at least another four years. That is because Sony Television announced today that they renewed both of their contracts and Vanna White’s through 2022. Meaning they will not be going anywhere for a while.
Which is a good thing because their game shows are one of the few constants that we have and we need that in this mad mad world.
