Several people got their starts at Second City like Tina Fey, John Candy, Steve Carrell, Mike Myers, Bonnie Hunt, Stephen Colbert, and so many more. Jeopardy thought the 50-year-old comedy troupe would make a great category and they were right.
I thought I had a chance of acing it because I got the $200 answer right. However, that is where it stopped. The $400 one blew my mind and stumped the contestants. The rest I knew, but could not remember the names. However, it was still fun learning from something I thought I should have known. How well did you do?
We know that NYC drops a huge crystal ball on New Year’s Eve, but what city drops a potato? Jeopardy asked that question and four others about midnight traditions to celebrate the start of the year across the country.
I am a NYC snob, so I thought everyone dropped the ball. I guess you can say; I dropped the ball on that fact. Therefore, I found this category really interesting. Plus, I learned something new today. For those of you who made that resolution, you have completed it for today.
In the last 25 years, Disney musicals have gone from the big screen to the Great White Way. In honor of the milestone, Jeopardy gave the Broadway productions their own category. How well did you do when you put their service to the test? If you don’t get all five, then you can no longer be my guest.

I don’t know about you, but I sometimes confuse Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez since they were like the same person for so long. Turns out I am not the only one because Lindsey on Jeopardy did the same thing and it cost her $200.
I don’t know why but that wrong answer gave me so much joy.
Yesterday on Jeopardy, Dhruv Gaur did not know the answer to the Final Jeopardy question. Therefore, he wrote a sweet message to the host that reads, “What is we ❤️ you, Alex!” When Alex Trebek read that, you can hear him get chocked up by the very touching (and accurate) sentiment.
While Gaur did not win the game, he did win all of our hearts! He truly is a nice guy because he tweeted this after the show aired, “I’m just very grateful I got the opportunity to say what I know everyone was thinking. Sending all the love.” So are we!
