We are less than a month away from Jay Leno saying goodbye to The Tonight Show and today at the NBC TCA Winter Press Day NBC’s Chairman, Bob Greenblatt, announced who his final guest will be. On May 25, 1992, Billy Crystal helped to launch the show as the first guest, so it is only appropriate that he will be the one to close it out. Also joining him on Thursday February 6th, is Garth Brooks and I hope he serenades Leno just like Bette Midler did to Johnny Carson during his final appearance as a host of The Tonight Show.
NBC also announced today who will be on the show that final week. On Monday February 3rd, Leno will pass the baton over to Jimmy Fallon, and Betty White will make her 19th appearance on the show. The next night, Matthew McConaughey and NBA legend Charles Barkley, who makes his 24th visit to the show, are guests and Lyle Lovett will perform, tying the most performances by any singer on the talk show. On Wednesday, Sandra Bullock and Blake Shelton (which should make his mom very proud) will talk to Jay one final time. Finally, on Thursday, Jay Leno bids farewell to his home of 22 years minus a few months.
Not a bad final week for a man who has entertained us for almost a quarter of a century.
UPDATE: Jimmy Fallon’s first guest for The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon on February 17th will be Will Smith and the first musical guest will be U2!!!
UPDATE 2: Seth Meyers first on Late Night with Seth Meyers will be Amy Poehler, so look out for it on February 24th.

Jay Leno went to Universal City Walk to see if some of the patrons walking by are good or bad Christmas Carolers. We get to watch the interview, decide if they are and then hear them sing. Some of them are not very good, while one of them will blow you away by their voice. So play the game that aired on NBC’s The Tonight Show this Friday and see how will you did. The prize is you get to now tell people you are not the worst Caroler out there.
BTW am I the only one bummed he didn’t bring on that Gas Pump News couple on to sing a festive song or two?

Yesterday on The Tonight Show, Jay Leno answered the audience’s questions and we learned a little more about the NBC late night host. Did you know he did an ad like the one that Jean Claude Van Damme did for Volvo? I think his better by a chin! We also found out how he can afford all of those cars. Not a bad plan if you know how to work the system.
He also revealed the trailer for Mrs Claus’ biography and we learn a secret about her that will shock everyone including her husband, Santa Claus.
Finally he wrapped up the Q&A with his Jib Jab Year in Review, and 2013 was definitely an interesting year.

We have seen Jay Leno in many different costumes and now we are seeing The Tonight Show host dressed as a woman. Why? Well since Tyler Perry is the person who Tweeted the photo, we can only awesome that is his version of Madea. Let’s just hope this is a one time thing because I can go without seeing him as a lady again.

Simon Cowell was on The Tonight Show yesterday and Jay Leno bought a present for his guest’s future son. That gift was a mini-version of what the King of Mean wears almost all the time. You know, faded jeans, a white T-shirt and sunglasses. As soon as The X Factor coach saw the items, he said the baby Tee was in his size and then tried on the baby sunglasses. Believe it or not the shades were able to fit over his huge ego, I mean on his huge head.
I feel bad for Simon Jr because you know his pops is going to try to wear all of his clothes. And that includes the diapers because he is getting up there in age. Just joking, Simon. Or am I?
