Sam’s father makes her the butt of all jokes on Good Sam tonight

CBS’s new medical drama Good Sam is about a daughter and her dad fighting for the same position, the Cheif of Surgery. You see, Sam’s (Sophia Bush) father Griff (Jason Isaacs) held the position until he was shot and spent six months in a coma. During his absence, the hospital offered his job to Sam. Now that he is awake, he will do anything to get that position back, including screwing over his daughter.

Last week, Griff went to the board and convinced them to give him his job back. Sam then went to them and got them to hold off. Now, they are at war. And tonight at 10p, he proves he is a$$hole. He finds a way to embarrass his daughter and cost the hospital a lot of money. So Sam has to find a way to undo what he did, but she might not be able to do it.

If that is enough, she has a patient that has come in with chest pains after sex. Sam notices she had a heart attack. Actually, she has had several and didn’t even know it. Therefore, Sam has to figure out what has been causing them before one of them kills her, and the patient has not been completely honest about her history.

Sam will get the patient’s real history from her doctor. That doctor has had a history with Griff, and she offers Sam an offer she can’t refuse. But Sam refuses it. How long can Sam say no to her offer?

There is even more trouble for Sam’s department. One of her doctors lost a patient on the table. Now, they are having problems coping with it. Will they be able to find out why a simple procedure led to their patient dying?

Oh, and did I mention that is episode is directed by Jane the Virgin’s Gina Rodriguez? She is as good in front of the camera as she is from behind it.

I have to admit that I wasn’t wowed by the pilot of Good Sam. But now that I have watched the first three episodes, I am in love with the show. The pilot was just setting things up for the great war between a father and his daughter, all while mixing the heart that Sam has when she sees her patients. Sam and Bush are the same when it comes to caring for people. It is as though this character was made for Bush, and that is why she was perfectly cast in the role.

Jaime Camil still looks good naked
July 10th, 2020 under Jane the Virgin. [ Comments: none ]

Jaime Camil/Instagram

Twenty years ago, Jaime Camil posed naked for Quien magazine. In honor of the milestone, they asked the Jane the Virgin star to recreate that cover. He accepted their offer and we get this photo with him wearing his muscular birthday suit.

You know what, he looks better now then he did then. I get that he does broadcast TV, but I think he needs to do cable so we can see him in the buff more often.

Will Jane the Virgin get a happy ending?
July 31st, 2019 under Jane the Virgin, Justin Baldoni. [ Comments: none ]

Tonight at 8p on The CW, Jane the Virgin ends its run with its 100th episode. What better way to say goodbye than with a wedding. Jane (Gina Rodriguez) and Rafael (Justin Baldoni) finally say I do. Just like their relationship, it will not be an easy road to the altar.

When the show started off, Jane the Virgin accidentally got inseminated with Raf’s baby by his sister and that child eventually brought the two of them together even though they were with other people at the time. That was then and now they are loving parents to a sweet boy and his parents are finally getting married.

Now that Rose is dead, they are all getting their happy ending. But will Alba (Ivonne Coll), Xo (Andrea Navedo), Rogello (Jaime Camil) and Petra (Yael Grobglas) get theirs too? We will get a glimpse of their happily ever afters or life after the show.

Will Xo and Rogello move to NYC for his show This Is Mars? Will Petra find love again or is she committed to the hotel only? Remember folks, this is a telenovela and anything can happen. Spoiler alert, we do get a sweet reveal that will make you happy. You will know which one I am talking about when it happens.

This episode is the perfect ending for a show that proves Hollywood can still be original. I still remember when my friend told me she auditioned for a show where a virgin girl accidentally gets pregnant and decides to keep the baby. I thought that show will bever get picked up. It did and I loved every episode. Thank you for 100 hours of joy.

Gina Rodriguez the Married Woman
May 6th, 2019 under Jane the Virgin. [ Comments: none ]

Gina Rodriguez reportedly shot her television wedding a few weeks ago for Jane the Virgin. On May the Fourth (be with you), she got married for real. The actress posted a beautiful video from her big day to Joe LoCicero. Her soon-to-be TV husband, Justin Baldoni, sang as the beautiful bride walked down the aisle.

The couple met in 2016 when he played a stripper on her show. No word, if she actually had strippers at her bachelorette party in honor of that. But she should have.

This is the first marriage for both the husband and the wife who got engaged July 2018.

Cancer plays a big role on Empire and Jane the Virgin tonight
April 17th, 2019 under Empire, Jane the Virgin. [ Comments: none ]

Tonight at 8p on Fox’s Empire, Andre (Trai Byers) is still battling his cancer. While he lies in bed fighting for his life, his family and girlfriend (Meta Golding) go to church asking Gd for his help. Something Andre does not believe in for obvious reasons.

All the members of the Lyon family are dealing with Andre’s sickness differently. Lucious (Terrence Howard) only wants everyone to be positive, while Cookie (Taraji P. Hensen) is more realistic. Since she cannot talk to her husband about it, she goes to the man she almost had an affair with to comfort her. That will not end well.

Meanwhile, Lucious finally confronts Kingsley’s (A.Z. Kelsey) mother about their time together. They see things differently and she continues to tell her son her side. That is why he went to the FBI and offered to help them. Tonight he confronts his father with a wire. That is enough of a reason to watch. Therefore, tune in because you do not want to miss what happened next.

Then at on The CW’s Jane the Virgin, Xo (Andrea Navedo) has her final chemotherapy session. She is ready to live life to its fullest again but is her body ready for it?

But you don’t care about that, you want to know if Jane (Gina Rodriguez) is going to figure out that Michael (Brett Dier) got his memory back. I cannot tell you that, but I can tell you so much happens on this must-watch episode. That might or might not involve Michael…
