I am so going to miss Boston Legal
November 5th, 2008 under Boston Legal, James Spader. [ Comments: 2 ]

David E Kelley has such a brilliant show with Boston Legal, that is so sad to think it is going to end in a few episodes and shows that are declining by the episode like Grey’s Anatomy, Ugly Betty and Desperate Housewives are going to survive. It is moments like the above one that I am so going to miss. What other shows can do what they just did! I still chuckle everytime the painball fight starts about 1:10 in. The chemistry between James Spader and William Shather was some of the best ever on TV, that I hope someone can pair them up again after ABC says goodbye to one of the few shows that constantly got them Emmy noms.
Thanks to Boston Legal for all the laughs!

Did the Supreme Court watch Boston Legal?
June 25th, 2008 under Boston Legal, James Spader. [ Comments: 3 ]

Back in April Boston Legal aired an episode called The Court Supreme where Alan Shore and Denny Crane went in front of the Supreme Court of the United States and he argued that his client not be put to the death because he allegedly rape a child.
Today the real life Supreme Court of the United States voted on the matter of whether or not someone should be executed and here is what they decided according to Fox News.

The Supreme Court on Wednesday struck down a law that allows the execution of people convicted of a raping a child.
In a 5-4 vote, the court said the Louisiana law allowing the death penalty to be imposed in such cases violates the Constitution’s ban on cruel and unusual punishment.
“The death penalty is not a proportional punishment for the rape of a child,” Justice Anthony Kennedy wrote in his majority opinion. His four liberal colleagues joined him, while the four more conservative justices dissented.

As soon as I saw the news I wondered if SCOTUS saw this episode and based their decision on Alan Shore’s (James Spader’s) Emmy worthy speech. If he doesn’t win the Emmy for the second year in the row for this speech there is something wrong with the Emmy voters. I mean crap it swayed (don’t you think they saw the epsiode) the Supreme Court of the United States, what more proof do you need that it is Emmy worthy!!!

Pretty in Pink’s Steff and Duckie reunite for Shorts!
May 30th, 2008 under Brat Pack, James Spader. [ Comments: none ]

James Spader and Jon Cryer will be back on the big screen together in Robert Rodriguez’s Shorts according to MovieWeb!

Shorts is set in fictional Black Falls, a suburb where everyone works for Black Box Unlimited Worldwide Industries Incorporated whose communication gadget is sweeping the country. A young boy (Bennett) discovers a rainbow-colored rock that grants wishes to anyone who holds it, which first causes havoc amongst the kid population before turning up several notches when adults get their hands on it.
Cryer and Mann play the boy’s parents while Dennings is the boy’s older sister. Spader is Mr. Black while Macy is the father of a germophobic genius.

Wouldn’t it be Good if they were able to also cast Molly Ringwald and Andrew McCartney in the movie too?
BTW I couldn’t find a picture of Duckie and Steff together from Pretty in Pink, so I decided to post that video with them looking adorable in it instead!

James Spader is going for another Emmy!!!
April 26th, 2008 under Boston Legal, James Spader. [ Comments: 3 ]

Dang how amazing is James Spader in this scene on Boston Legal where he tells the Supreme Court how it really is! David E Kelley did a great job when he wrote this scene and what he wrote is so true. Hopefully SCOTUS is watching this and realizing how far off track they have gotten from the original premise of what they are suppose to be.
Kudos to David E Kelley and James Spader!!!
BTW if you have never seen Boston Legal, please watch as it moves to its new timeslot of 10p on Wednesday! Let’s save a show worth watching on ABC that doesn’t lose its touch as time goes on unlike well Desperate Housewives, Lost and Grey’s Anatomy.

Who dressed James Spader?
January 7th, 2008 under ABC, James Spader. [ Comments: none ]

I don't know what is the worst thing about that photo of James Spader…the man-purse, the shirt with little apples on it or how old I feel seeing him out with his teenage son.
Although I have to respect a man who is brave enough to wear a man-purse in public, the shirt not so much.
