When Robin tries to talk her younger sister out of losing her virginity, the gang shares stories with each other about their “first time,” on “HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER” Monday, Jan. 8 at 8p.
This is one of the funniest shows on TV. If you haven’t seen it yet I highly suggest you check it out on Monday! Best way to put it, is I have a friend who hates sitcoms and even she loves the show!

 CBS is giving new Adam Sandler-produced laffer "Rules of Engagement" the best comedy timeslot on TV while finalizing plans to say goodbye to "The King of Queens" after nine seasons. Starting Feb. 5, "Rules" will run Mondays at 9:30 p.m. behind the top-rated "Two and a Half Men," the Eye will announce today. Its premiere will come one day after CBS airs Super Bowl XLI, allowing the net to give the David Spade-Patrick Warburton laffer a major promo push during the big game. CBS Paramount and Sony Pictures TV produce "Rules" in association with Sandler’s Happy Madison shingle. Tom Hertz, Jack Giarraputo and Doug Robinson are exec producers. Move will mean a timeslot switch for "The New Adventures of Old Christine," which has occupied the plum slot after "Men" since its premiere last spring. After a brief hiatus during February, "Old Christine" will shift to Mondays at 8:30 p.m. on March 12. "The Class," which currently airs in the 8:30 p.m. slot, will wrap its first season on March 5. Eye’s strategy is designed to virtually eliminate comedy repeats in the 8:30 and 9:30 p.m. Monday timeslots. Net also wants to give all of its comedy players a fair shake on Mondays before it makes up its mind about how to schedule the night next season. Sked shuffle marks a major vote of confidence in "Rules." Eye execs are no doubt hoping the male-skewing "Rules," which features a heavy dose of ribald humor, will be a better fit with "Men" than the more femme-friendly "Old Christine." While "Christine" has been a solid performer on Mondays and has even landed on some critics’ year-end top 10 lists, skein still loses about 20% of its lead-in. Not helping matters: "Christine" has had to face off against the red-hot "Heroes" for most of the fall. As for "Rules," CBS plans to air seven episodes of the laffer on Mondays. On April 9, net will bring back "King of Queens" — which goes on hiatus after its Jan. 3 broadcast — in the 9:30 p.m. Monday slot. CBS will have seven episodes of "Queens" in the can, which means the skein’s series finale will likely air on May 21. Net hasn’t locked in any dates for the finale, however.

Dang you CBS, I love The Class. Translation with a March season finale…the show will not be back next season…but thank g-d neither will King of Queens!!! Why is that show still on the air? Seriously who watches that show? And on that note who watches Old Christine?

You meet someone, you date a while, things get serious, and then suddenly you realize there are secrets to this person who shares your bed, secrets that you’re desperate to discover. It’s a simple enough problem, but the Nov. 20 episode of the CBS sitcom How I Met Your Mother has given it a wickedly funny twist for the YouTube age.But let’s pretend for a quick second that you’re not completely familiar with How I Met… (and given the show’s average of 9.6 million viewers per week, that may be quite likely). The title kinda explains it all: We watch the journey of aspiring architect Ted Mosby (Josh Radnor) as he navigates the dating scene in search of his wife  whom we know he will at some point discover since the show is told in flashback from the future (ergo, the title). Ted’s been dating his current squeeze, aspiring TV journalist Robin Scherbatsky (Cobie Smulders), on and off since the series’ premiere in 2005, but it’s not until she bizarrely refuses to go to the mall that he and his buddies Marshall (Jason Segel) and Barney (Neil Patrick Harris) grasp that Robin is holding fast to some deep secret from her past, a secret she won’t even share with Ted, a secret that Barney discovers on that pesky Internet.’’We knew [Robin] was from Canada,’’ explains Mother co-creator and co-showrunner Craig Thomas, ‘’and we also [thought] that in 2006, there’s an embarrassing piece of footage for everybody. We stumbled upon the idea that what if [Robin] was Alanis Morissette if Alanis Morissette’s career had ended [during her] Canadian teen pop phase?’’ It’s indeed a secret so diabolically perfect, it took just a few hours (and a few beers) for Thomas and the other co-creator and showrunner Carter Bays to crank out ‘’Let’s Go to the Mall,’’ the single that transformed Robin at 16 into Canadian pop teen star Robin Sparkles. After getting a behind-the-scenes look last month at the shooting of the incriminating music video, we can report that both the song and the video are so dead-on ’80s bubblegum pre-fab pop, it’s  well, it’s a little scary.In fact, before we give you an exclusive first look at that video, a word of warning: ‘’The song has turned out to be much catchier than we were prepared for,’’ says Thomas, ‘’but in this very specific way where people are angry at us for writing it.’’ And if you’re already realizing something not quite adding up math-wise, don’t worry, Robin was supposed to have shot the video back in 1993, since, as Thomas points out, ‘’the ’80s actually didn’t make it up to Canada until 1993.’’
