CBS isn’t ready to dismiss "The Class." Eye is close to ordering additional episodes of the half-hour comic-sudser from exec producers David Crane and Jeffrey Klarik. Kelly Kahl, the net’s senior exec VP of program planning, let the news slip at a Wednesday lunch confab in Gotham sponsored by the Intenational Radio and Television Society. Warner Bros. TV and CBS are still hammering out details of the episode order, which means it’s possible the Eye could greenlight a couple of episodes less than the usual back nine commitment. CBS might not need a full season of "The Class" in part because the net is said to have high hopes for "Rules of Engagement," its midseason comedy starring David Spade, Oliver Hudson and Patrick Warburton. Latter skein seems a natural for the Eye’s Monday comedy block. While "The Class" hasn’t lived up to pre-season expectations that it might be a breakout hit, skein has actually retained a solid percentage of its lead-in since moving behind the Eye’s red-hot "How I Met Your Mother."

When Lily moves in with Barney on “How I Met Your Mother,” the trials and tribulations of their relationship may prove too much for Barney to handle. After Lily begs him for a place to stay, Barney concedes, but as they take their relationship to the next level, he is petrified that Lily has fully stripped him of his singlehood. The episode airs airs Monday, Oct. 16 (8:00-8:30 PM, ET/PT) on CBS.
I love this show! I think this show has a long life in syndication when it is eligible!

CBS has given a back-nine order to "The New Adventures of Old Christine" and is switching two other Monday comedies, "The Class" and "How I Met Your Mother." As a midseason entry last season, "Christine" had received an initial order of 13 episodes for its sophomore season. Following orders for additional scripts over the past several weeks, the network proceeded with a full-season pickup of the series for a total of 22 episodes. In its most recent airing Monday, the Warner Bros. TV-produced "Christine" averaged 13.6 million viewers and a 4.4 rating/10 share among adults 18-49, holding on to 86% of its 18-49 lead-in from "Two and a Half Men."

Interstingly How I Met Your Mother was originally skedded for 8 and Class at 8:30 this season, but then CBS kept Mother in its timeslot from last season until Class started losing viewers every week. Oh well I guess this will last until King of Queens is ready to come back.

 In their younger days, they both played TV docs. Now, Neil Patrick Harris and Jane Seymour are heating things up together on the small screen. Seymour is set to appear on the Monday, Oct. 23 episode of "How I Met Your Mother" playing one of Marshall’s (Jason Segel) law professors, a sexy divorcee. For reasons that probably best make sense in his own mind, Barney (Harris) decides it would be legendary to seduce the prof so that Marshall can receive better grades. Also guest starring in that episode is Bryan Cranston, who will appear as Ted’s (Josh Radnor) mean boss Druthers.
