HGTV’s Lottery Dream Home is the Brady Bunch House
August 7th, 2018 under HGTV, The Brady Bunch. [ Comments: none ]

On Friday, Lance Bass told everyone he was the new owner of The Brady Bunch house, but then the next day we found out he was not. He said that there was a studio who outbid him and they are going to be the home’s new owner.

I thought the studio was Paramount because they own the classic sitcom and I was wrong. The new owners are HGTV and the realtor updated the listing so it says, “contract signed.”. This way we really know it belongs to the network.

According to Deadline, Discovery CEO David Zaslav announced the news on a conference call this morning. He said, “One of our projects for HGTV will speak to those Brady Bunch fans on the call. You may have heard that the house from the iconic series was recently on the market in California.” Then he added, “I’m excited to share that HGTV is the winning bidder and will restore the Brady Bunch home to its 1970s glory as only HGTV can. More detail to come over the next few months but we’ll bring all the resources to bear to tell safe, fun stories about this beloved piece of American TV history.”

HGTV’s own Johnathan Scott from Property Brothers was one of the bidders. No word if he will be part of the project/inevitable series, but I am sure he will be. At least he better be.

I know, I cannot wait to see what they do it. In fact, once the construction starts, I will be walking by the house all the time to see the progress. Their first task should be to tear down that fence!

When it comes to Lance Bass, I think HGTV owes him a show because they stole the iconic house from under him. Don’t you agree?

The Gaines gain baby #5 as does Brigitte Nielsen
June 24th, 2018 under Babies, Brigitte Nielsen, HGTV. [ Comments: none ]

You would Cinco de Mayo would be a good day to have baby #5, but Chip and Joanna Gaines, and Brigitte Nielsen and Mattia Dessi thought June was better suited for that.

The Fixer/Uppers did not say when their son came into the world, but his mom revealed he came a little early, “Our baby boy, Crew Gaines, is here and we couldn’t be more in love. He made an unexpected (and speedy) entrance into the world two and a half weeks early – which is fitting given he was a sweet surprise from day one. Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers. We are so grateful.” The baby boy is already loved by his big brothers and sisters Drake, 13, Ella, 11, Duke, 9 and Emmie Kay, 8.

On Friday, Nielsen and her husband, Mattia Dessi, welcomed their first child together according to People. Her fifth child is also her first daughter. The baby girl has four much bigger brothers to fuss over her Julian Winding, 34, Killian Gastineau, 28, Douglas Meyer, 25 and Raoul Meyer Jr, 23.

You know, since both babies are the 5th child to reality stars and born around the same time; who is to say that they won’t hook up someday and get married? Plus, they could get their own show together, Strange Love Fixer/Uppers.

Chip and Joanna Gaines are working on a new project!
January 3rd, 2018 under HGTV. [ Comments: none ]

Ever since Joanna and Chip Gaines announced that they were ending their show Fixer Upper on HGTV, we have wondered what is next for the couple? Now we know. Yesterday, he revealed that his wife is pregnant with their fifth child. Although, I am not really sure who is carrying baby #5.

The Gaines have been married for 14 years and are already parents to Drake, 12, Ella, 11, Duke, 9, and Emmie Kay, 7. Wonder if their next kid is a girl if they will give her an E name and if it is a boy a D one. Or maybe they will change things up and give it an F name.

Chip Gaines’ hair is no longer a fixer upper
November 9th, 2017 under HGTV. [ Comments: none ]

Fans of Fixer Upper are upset that the show is ending, but they will not be upset with Chip Gaines parting ways with his hair. The host shaved off his messy coif and he did it all for a good cause. Last week posted on Instagram. “Jo and I are visiting the beautiful kids at Target House with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis. No family ever pays at @StJude for treatment, travel or food—so basically, we want to bring them a giant check from YOU to help cover costs—lets come together to do something big to bless these kiddos.” Then he added, “Donate to @StJude through the link in my profile, and the more money we raise over the next FOUR days, the shorter my hair goes. That’s a promise. And, who knows, maybe if you really exceed my expectations…I’ll buzz it all off.”

Well they raised a lot of money and because of that his long locks were demolished. No word how is wife, Joanna Gaines, feels about his makeover, but I am sure she loves the empty floor space. There is so much she can so with it.

Chip and Joanna Gaines explain why they quit Fixer Upper
October 17th, 2017 under HGTV, TV News. [ Comments: none ]

I am not type of person who watches HGTV, but even I know who Chip and Joanna Gaines are. Their show Fixer Upper is one of the most watched home renovation shows on television. Therefore when they announced they were giving up their show at the height of its success, everyone wanted to know why?

Today they spoke Today and explained why they made the decision that they did. When Savannah Guthrie asked them if it had anything to with possibly saving their marriage, Chip said to her, “Look I’ll give them a little credence.” Then he explained why, “The most important thing in the world is Jo and I’s relationship, followed very quickly by these four beautiful kids (of ours). We didn’t want to push it, to redline it for so long that we woke up and realized we are at a point of no return. So we wanted to take a step back and focus on what is absolutely the most important thing to us.” And his wife confirmed his sentiment with, “We have this young growing family & I think that was one of the biggest reasons why.”

Now for the all important question that their fans want to know the answer to, would they do another show. Chip says, “Absolutely!” But first they are going to enjoy this break with their family. Then in time they will become part of our families again.

How upset are you that Fixer Upper is ending after 5 wonderful seasons? Who will be your new Fixer Uppers?
