RIP Heath Ledger
January 22nd, 2008 under Heath Ledger/ Michelle Williams, Obits. [ Comments: 1 ]

(photo from People) Heath Ledger who had a bright future ahead of him and beautiful daughter died today at the age of 28 according to the NY Times.

At 3:31 p.m., a masseuse arrived at Apartment 5A in the building, at 421 Broome Street in SoHo, for an appointment with Mr. Ledger, the police said. The masseuse was let in to the home by a housekeeper, who then knocked on the door of the bedroom Mr. Ledger was in. When no one answered, the housekeeper and the masseuse opened the bedroom and found Mr. Ledger naked and unconscious on a bed, with pills scattered around his body. They shook him, but he did not respond. They immediately called the authorities. The police said they did not suspect foul play. Officials said they believed Ms. Olsen, 21, was in California and said it was not clear how long or why Mr. Ledger had been in her apartment.

Looks like another senseless death because of drugs. So sad.

He will live on in his movies and in his daughter's face because Matilda Rose looked just like him. My prayers are with Michelle Williams and Matilda Rose tonight.

Poor Michelle Williams
September 5th, 2007 under Heath Ledger/ Michelle Williams. [ Comments: 1 ]

Imagine you break up with your baby's daddy and your baby looks exactly like him. It is like reminder all the time of what you had, but hey at least you got something good out of the  relationship.
I mean seriously can Maltida look any more like Heath Ledger, I wonder how hard that is for Michelle Williams to look at her and not see her ex.

Us Weekly is reporting that Michelle Williams and Heath Ledger have ended their 3 year relationship.

A source close to the couple tells Us that Heath and Michelle "quietly and amicably split a few weeks ago."

"The relationship had been rocky recently. They tried very hard to make it work but finally decided to separate. They just grew apart."

"They have a beautiful daughter and they are both committed to being great parents."

Well if they file divorce papers we will finally find out if the two had married at one point because that was never confirmed. Neither one of their sources have confirmed or denied the split.

Matilda Rose is Heath Ledger’s mini-me

Is it just me or does Matilda Rose look exactly like her daddy, Heath Ledger? And how cute is she?
BTW in case you are wondering why Michelle Williams is all bloodied up, it is because she is filming the movie, Incendiary in London. Don't you think she looks so much better with the extensions?

Heath Ledger checked into rehab for CANDY
November 11th, 2006 under Heath Ledger/ Michelle Williams, Rehab. [ Comments: none ]

HEATH LEDGER checked himself into an Australian rehab facility and learned how to shoot up heroin from a junkie – to perfect his latest movie role. The Aussie actor plays a drug addict in new movie CANDY, but he had no idea how to portray his sick character on the big screen, because he has never stuck a needle in his arm. So he called on experts at the Narcotics Users Association of Australia, who hooked him up with a junkie and a fake arm. The BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN star explains, "I went to this centre in Australia, called NUAA and met a gentleman who has been using, and still is, for the last 20 years. "He took us into a board room and opened what looked like a rifle case and inside was a prosthetic arm, which was designed for training purposes; it was designed to train young drug addicts how to find their veins. "It was a fully functional arm, the veins were fully functional. It would attach to the shoulder with two tubes that you could attach to blood bags and it would pump blood through the arm and you could find a vein and, when you found the vein, he showed us the angles in which to go in at (with a needle). "You could draw back even and take blood out of the arm and then push through. He taught us how to tie the tourniquets to pump up the vein. We also had someone on set who could take us step by step through the stages of drying out. "They would say, ‘OK, now you’re in a cold sweat, in this next scene your stomach feels like it’s twisting up into a knot, your head aches, you’re parched.’" Ledger, who also stayed out of the sun and fasted to perfect the role of a pale, starving junkie, admits he had no longing to try hard drugs before making Candy, and now he’ll never go near them. He adds, "I do think that drugs and alcohol have been obviously glorified and mythologised. We’ve kind of connected that with what it takes to create something, which is anything from the truth. Creation comes from your mind and it’s hard to create when you’re phased and drugged out. "I’m sure drugs and alcohol would inspire new thoughts but it’s certainly not something that I use as a tool or a mechanism to create."

Cinema Blend

Wow, it seems like he will not go down the same road as other actors who got into drugs for their roles…ie River Phoenix and Robert Downey Jr.?
