Will we see how Hung Ray is on the HBO show?
July 30th, 2009 under HBO Max. [ Comments: none ]

Last month HBO premiered Hung, a show about a man with a really big pen!s who needs money so he becomes a male prostitute. Well since the show started we have not seen how Hung he is and today on the TCA panel they answered the question. In a word…no. But why is a little bit more of an explanation. The reason why we are not going to see it is because just like how beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so is the perfect d!ck. While I understand that and maybe because I am still bitter we never saw Brian Kinney’s pee pee on Queer As Folk, I think we should see how big he is! Don’t you agree?
Now forgetting how Hung he is, I have a new admiration for Thomas Jane. He said when he auditioned for the role the producers needed to be in another room so he didn’t poke them in the eye. But in all seriousness the producers said the size of the actor was not factor for the role. When Thomas Jane told us why we should watch the show, he is like I don’t know why it is about a guy with a big d!ck who f*cks for money. And that is enough reason for me to watch the show and it should be for you too! So check out Hung Sundays on HBO at 10p. BTW Hung was picked up for a second season, so maybe by then they will change their minds and let us see how big he is?!? A girl can only hope!!!

Also coming to HBO in September is Bored to Death with Jason Schwarzman, Zach Galifianakis and Ted Danson. I am still not sure what the show is about, but after watching Jason Schwarzman on satellite I so have a crush on him and will be watching just for him!!!

On September 20th Curb Your Enthusiasm will be back for its 7th season and as we all know there will be a Seinfeld reunion. Today Larry David addressed what will be happening on the show with. For years Jerry and him have been asked about doing one and it just hit him why not do it on Curb. So throughout the season the reunion will play out and there will he a reason why Curb Larry will want to do it. The reunion will be seen in 5 episodes (with most of the Seinfeld cast appearing in all 5 eps) and we will follow it from the table read, to filming it and to seeing what it will like on TV in what is looking to be a one hour finale of the show. Larry said in prepping for the reunion it was like getting on a bicycle with Jerry and the two would meet to plan it out. Not much was spilled on what will be going on in specifics but he did kind of spoil us by saying Curb Larry might try to ruin it. I seriously can’t wait to see the Seinfeld Reunion play out when the show comes back on September 20th and to see some of the other funny things coming up for the season like Rosie O’Donnell and him duking it to pay for a check at restaurant and let’s just they wind up on the floor…luckily not in the same way she did on Nip/Tuck!!!
BTW the Seinfeld cast all looks the same!!! They seriously all look great!!!

Hollywood Insider is reporting that the 4 original Seinfeld cast members are  reuniting for a Curb Your Enthusiasm episode! Jerry Seinfeld, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Jason Alexander, and Michael Richards will all appear in an episode of the HBO show in the fall, but they have no other information.
It will be fun to see the four together again and with their co-creator! Let's just hope their reunion is better than the finale!!!

A mini-Sopranos reunion
February 3rd, 2009 under HBO Max, Reunions. [ Comments: none ]

WireIamge
Some of the cast of The Sopranos got together for a NY Rangers game and all I could think of is when they get together to they talk about what a sh!tty ending they had for their show? I am kind of disappointed that my NYers didn’t confetti them for that ending. Yeah it has been almost 2 years, but the wound is still fresh…
Here is putting salt in the wound.

Unless they got together to talk about that Sopranos film we were promised after ending I can’t forgetaboutit.

Broadcasting and Cable is reporting that Oprah Winfrey has signed a multiyear deal to produce scripted programming for the network. Potential projects include series, miniseries, movies and documentaries. In other words we can have O and the City, The Winfreys, In Treatment with Oprah and Curb Your Metabolism. Seriously she has her OWN network, what more does she need? I know it is Oprah, she won't be happy until she has it all….

Summer Heights High premieres on HBO tonight
November 9th, 2008 under HBO Max. [ Comments: none ]

Summer Heights High is an HBO series which follows the journeys of multiple characters over one term in an average Australian public school.
Over one term, a documentary crew films the everyday activities at an average Australian public high school. Three individuals stand out – Mr G, an ego driven drama teacher on a mission to change the face of drama education; Ja’mie King, a bitchy private schoolgirl on a student exchange, set to make her mark; and Jonah Takalua, a mischievous schoolboy from Tonga with the odds stacked against him. The only characteristic they have in common is they are all played by writer and performer Chris Lilley. The characters take us through the seemingly huge traumas of friendship, staff politics, schoolwork and relationships that are the fabric of life in the school universe.
Hilarious, absurd and frequently shocking Summer Heights High reveals a world where small issues become huge, social groups are important, careers are built, young minds are moulded, hopes are shattered and dreams are realised.

HBO imported Summer Heights High from Australia. Summer Heights High is a mockumentary of a public high school life in Australia. Chris Lilley plays the three leads Mr G, Ja’mie and Jonah. Mr G is the drama teacher who is more drama than teacher. Ja’mie just transferred in from private school and thinks she is better than them all. Jonah is a tall 8th grader who is not that smart and is always in trouble. Together they make this mockumentary really funny. Especially when Mr G does a school musical about a junior who OD’d on Ecstasy.
So tune into Summer Heights High tonight on HBO at 10:30p.
