I love Hanson, but Zac, Isaac and Taylor will always be the brothers who sang Hmmm Bop in 1997. So imagine my surprise when Zac announced at Oxford University Union that they will be selling their own of brand of beer called MMMHop. According to The Star the youngest member of the band said, “We of course make records, they are fundamental to what we do, but we wanted to create a brand so that our fans have a greater experience. What is vital is that Hanson merchandise is quality and not made solely with the purpose of profit. We have a board game and even a record player to play our last record on, but we will never make dolls, lunch boxes or toothbrushes that play our songs for example. It’s vital our fans have trust in everything Hanson do. In fact we are soon going to be selling our own beer, I’m not even joking. MMMHop IPA anyone?†If it is as good as their music, I will try it.
But seriously out of all of the bands out there that would brew their own beer, they are on the bottom of my list just above The Osmonds and Hoku.
There is only way Hanson could be Troublemakers and that is by singing Weezer’s song Troublemaker for Billboard’s Mashup Mondays! Now that we heard the three squeaky clean brothers do Weezer, I want to hear Harvard graduate Rivers Cuomo do Mmm Bop! I bet it would be equally as good!
BTW here is Hanson singing one of their own songs Give a Little from Shout It Out for Billboard. Listening them to perform it live, just makes me want to go and see them live and in person even more. Yes, I openly admit I love them and their latest album!!!
Yesterday was guilty pleasure night on Dancing with the Stars, you know kind of like what the show is to 20 million of us, and Hanson performed some of the biggest songs that have us singing in the shower. The three brothers sang their hit Mmm Bop along with Vanilla Ice’s Ice Ice Baby, former Dancing with the Star competitor Billy Ray Cyrus’ Achy Breaky Heart, Quiet Riot’s Cum on Feel the Noize and Lionel Richie’s Hello. Let’s all admit we have belted out all of those songs at one time, now whether you do it publicly or not is up to you, but you know you have. So which song that they performed yesterday is stuck in your head today. I say all of them and I can’t wait until tonight when I get another one of Hanson’s songs stuck because they will be back on the show at 8p during a special edition. Then at 9p NKOTBSB will be singing on the ABC show and another dancer, who better not be Ralph Macchio, will be eliminated.

Hanson was at the Palm Springs airport and Taylor and Zach lost their older brother Isaac. How they were able to lose him at such a small airport and not in the Middle of Nowhere surprised them as much as us. But by the time they could say Mmmmm Bop they found their missing link because Zach was able to Shout It Out over his cell phone and find out he went to the wrong parking lot. I guess the oldest brother was Thinking ‘Bout Somethin’ and got lost. Maybe next the two younger ones will Give a Little more time than 15 minutes to find their guitarist!
BTW they are taping an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live tonight…that is if Isaac can find it!
Hanson will Give a Little happiness to their fans (and non-fans) when they watch the music video for the song. Seriously didn’t the second single from the fifth album, Shout It Out just bring a huge smile to your face. How can you not feel joy after watching that? I know I am in good mood after that and who doesn’t need that? I am honestly book marking that video for whenever I am having a sh!tty day to make me feel better.
What might also put you in a good mood is the band is asking you to remix their song Give a Little and the winner be feature on the UK release of the single in April. How much fun does that sound, baby?
Talking about babies, yes those were Isaac and Taylor’s two year old sons James and Viggo (respectively), dancing at the end of the music video. So freaking awwwdorable. You know they will be in Hanson 2025!
