You are cordially invited to the wedding of Gabi Kiss & Charlie Bontempo on Friday, July 5th at 10a on Home & Family at the Hallmark Channel. Throughout the season of the daytime talk show we have seen the happy couple prep for their big day and tomorrow it all comes together for a sweet moment that will leave you with happy tears streaming down your face.
So tune in tomorrow morning to see what fashion designer David Meister, floral designer Michael Gaffney and lifestyle expert and Lilyshop.com founder Jessie Jane put together to make this memorable day even more memorable for the bride and groom.
Seriously who doesn’t love a wedding, especially one you can watch in PJs and not in a tux or gown. The only negative about watching one on television is that the food isn’t as good, but then again at you least you didn’t have to buy them a present.
If you would assume that flight attendants have some really interesting stories from all of the flights they have worked on, then you would be right. When Bobby Laurie was on Hallmark Channel’s Home & Family last week to promote the book Jettiquette, he had a strange story to share with Mark Steines and Cristina Ferrare during their daytime talk show that airs weekdays from 10a-12n.
Laurie told them about a couple who boarded the airplane with a teddy bear. Sounds normal but here is where it starts to get strange, they fastened the stuffed bear in to the seat with them. Then the woman started ordering Scotch on the Rocks, one after another after another. Well after he served a few drinks, another passenger came up to the Steward and asked him he knew where those drinks were going? Since he didn’t the passenger explained to him that the woman was pouring the drinks down the Teddy’s mouth. Now that he knew what she was doing, he suggested that they switch to water. The woman then said to her furry friend, “We’ve been cut off.” When he explains it will be better for him, she told him that she has a wheelchair waiting for him when they get off. Well now Laurie is just flabbergasted, so he asks the husband about it. The husband told him that the teddy bears go everywhere and they always fly first class. You know what I totally want to be that lady’s teddy bear because I would love to fly first class, drink Scotch for free and have a wheelchair waiting for me when I get off the plane. But that is all I am willing to do because you have to assume she does more with them when they are home alone. Either that or the husband is a Furry and dresses up for her when it is just the two of them. I mean he has to be getting something out of it right? At least he better.
Now when it comes to Home & Family, you totally need to be watching it every weekday on Hallmark at 10a for two hours because they have “interesting” stories like this one all the time. Plus they have celebrity interviews, cooking and Do-It-Yourself tips, funny games and so much more! What more do you need from a daytime talk show?
For almost 50 years we have had the Super Bowl and for nearly a decade we have watched the Puppy Bowl on Animal Planet. Well in 2014 Hallmark Channel is adding the purrfect companion for these two because they announced today that they will be doing Kitten Bowl as part of their Pet Project.
You know this is the first game where it is OK for the players to be as catty as they want to be!
Kudos to Hallmark Channel for scoring a touchdown with this programming alternative for us cat lovers on Super Bowl Sunday. I have a black and cat white who says she is dressed up to be a referee.
This post is dedicated to my late dear friend Nancy Carr, who worked as a publicist at Hallmark Channel. She would’ve loved this even more than I do. She was a huge cat lover and the best friend they could’ve asked for. I am sure she will be cheering them on from The Rainbow Bridge with her cats and mine.
Hallmark Channel is going to the dogs today at 1p with Who Let the Dogs Out. You have all seen that video of Tillman the Bulldog who skateboards like Tony Hawk? Well he is getting his own weekly show and he is looking for other extraordinary pups like him. Each week he will travel the country with his owner, assistant and a host to find the pooches that have a special talent.
Today’s premiere episode is military related and we will meet Luca, who worked with the troops in Afghanistan for 8 years. She recently lost her leg when she stepped on an IUD protecting her soldiers and was forced to retire from active duty. She is now being reunited with a former soldier, who she served with her, and he is taking her in to give her the best civilian life possible.
Tillman is getting some accolades today, he is becoming the first dog to be a Honorary Marine. The Marines want to honor all of man’s best friends who risked their lives for their two-legged buddies.
Whether you are a dog owner or not, you are quickly going to fall in love with Who Let the Dogs Out every Friday at 1p. Even my cat gave it four paws up!
