The Gene Simmons of dogs!
October 4th, 2017 under Animals, Guinness World Records. [ Comments: none ]

Gene Simmons is as known as much for his very long tongue as his music with KISS. Well turns out there is a bitch who is ready to give his licker a run for the money. Mochi Rickert, a St Bernard in South Dakota, was just added to the Guinness Book of World Records for the Dog with the Longest Tongue (living). How long? It is 7.3″ and that is a little longer than the Rocker’s by a few centimeters. Ouch!

When it comes to Mochi, isn’t she just gorgeous? How can you not love her? Although, I would want to be licked by her. Her licks probably leave your whole face covered with her saliva.

Mochi is just one of the Amazing Animals that is featured in the special edition Guinness Book of World Records that is out now.

Try not to headbang as you watch this record breaking video!
July 7th, 2017 under Guinness World Records. [ Comments: none ]

via NME
Wayne’s World turned 25 back in February and in honor of that 1,000 people gathered in Aurora, Illinois on July 4th to honor the excellent movie. They came out to hear a local orchestra perform Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody, a song that gained a whole new appreciation thanks to the film, and bang their heads during the instrumental solo. As the 1,000 people, young and old, did it, they broke the Guinness Book of World Records previously set for most synchronized headbanging done at once by 680 sore necks.

We get the honor of watching 1,000 fans bang their heads just like Wayne and Garth did a quarter of a century ago. Or should I say 1,001 because you did right along with them. Right now my neck is hurting me more than it does when I have center seats for a tennis match.

Party time!

Drew Barrymore puts on a 7’4″ wide wig!
January 29th, 2017 under Drew Barrymore, Guinness World Records, Jimmy Fallon. [ Comments: none ]

Believe it or not, Drew Barrymore is not in the Guinness Book of World Records for anything. That all changed on Friday night when Jimmy Fallon gave her three records to break on The Tonight Show. The first one was putting the most lipstick on other people in 30 seconds, second was running through the most paper banners and finally wearing the widest wig. While the first two were fun, the last one looked like a real pain on the neck. Although, she made it look like it was as light as a feather.
BTW I wonder how many innocent Barbie dolls went bald for that wig?

Did you know that putting Sticky Notes on your face is a thing?
October 25th, 2016 under Guinness World Records. [ Comments: none ]

I have done a lot of things with Sticky Notes like art projects, but I have never done anything like this. Taylor from Sioux City, Iowa put 60 of them all over her face in 60 seconds and now she is in the Guinness Book of World Records for doing so.
Who knew that was a thing? And how does someone figure out that is a thing? And why am I tempted to try to top her record?

More proof Robots will take over the World!
August 4th, 2016 under Guinness World Records. [ Comments: none ]

The more and more Scientists work on Robots, the smarter they are becoming. So smart, they are smarter than a lot of people. In fact, we can also use them for sex and such.
But there are still the few who are a little bit more primitive and can dance better than your drunk uncle at your cousin’s wedding. Recently at the Qingdao Beer Festival in Shandong, China, they got 1,007 robots to dance together in order to be part of the new Guinness World Record for Most Robots Dancing Simultaneously.
But that is not why I posted this video. As I watched them bump and grind, I found myself hypnotized by their bright blue eyes. Proving they have found a way to control us through dance. Before we know it, they will be running the World and we will just exist to change their batteries.
