BTWF: Betty White hosting The Betty White Show

Before Betty White was all the hosts’ favorite talk show guest, she was hosting her self-titled talk show with a controversial guest.

I don’t know if you read the story over the weekend, but here it is. In 1954, White had booked Arthur Duncan, an African-American tap dancer on her show, and the Southern States told her to cancel him. She told them, “He stays. Live with it!” She then proceeded to book him two more times before her show got cancelled.

That is why we love her so much! As someone wrote, “You know you are loved if at 99 people say you died too young.” But that was Betty, and that is how we feel.

And how do you feel about seeing her hosting her show and singing when she was 32 in that 1954 episode?

Betty White passed away today, just days before her 100th birthday on January 17th. Jeff Witjas, her agent and friend, said, “Even though Betty was about to be 100, I thought she would live forever… I don’t think Betty ever feared passing because she always wanted to be with her most beloved husband, Allen Ludden.”

What more can someone say about America’s sweetheart, who everyone loved. Whether you got to her know her on The Mary Tyler Moore Show, The Golden Girls, Hot In Cleveland, the game shows, the late night appearance, and everything else she did, you couldn’t help but to adore her.

I interviewed her, and she was just what you thought she would be. The actress was the nicest person you could meet, and she was also humble with all of the success she had throughout her career. One night, me and a friend went backstage and got to talk to her after a taping of Hot in Cleveland. She thanked us for laughing at all the right times. I thanked her for making us laugh.

And I thank her again for all of those laughs. So spend today watching her do just that and laugh with her. You can see her shows all over the TV. And if you want to make it even more special, you can check out her first two sitcoms, Life with Elizabeth and Date with the Angels, on Tubi, today.

I guess today was her day to have a date with the angels and be with her late husband and the love of her life Allen Ludden. Hopefully, she is being greeted by him at the Rainbow Bridge by all the animals she loved on her way to the Pearly Gates.

Ryan Reynolds reacts to Betty White saying he won’t get over his crush on her

Betty White is going to turn 100 next month, and People did an interview with her.

The legendary actress told the mag, “I’ve heard Ryan [Reynolds] can’t get over his thing for me.” However, she prefers someone else with the initials RR, and that man is Robert Redford.

Anyways, People loved that quote so much, so they gave it a headline that reads, “Betty White Jokes Ryan Reynolds Still ‘Can’t Get Over’ Her, Despite Her Crush on Robert Redford.” Well, when Reynolds saw that, he responded to it on social media. “I’M ABSOLUTELY SICK OF THE MEDIA EXPLOITING PAST RELATIONSHIPS JUST TO DRIVE CLICKS,” he wrote.

I knew it. I knew the two of them hooked up when they made The Proposal in 2009. You can see the chemistry. Something they still have until this day. Can you blame either one of them? Too bad he settled for someone else because they would have been perfect.

Choice Mutual

Choice Mutual Insurance Agency is looking for Betty White’s biggest fan to honor her 100th birthday that is coming up on January 17th.

What do you get? You get $1,000, a DVD player, and some of her DVDs if you watch 10 hours of her movies and/or television shows in 24. I could watch her for 24 hours straight and not even take a pee break. I came close to doing that because I once spent a weekend watching her sitcoms Life with Elizabeth and Date with the Angels on Tubi TV. Who doesn’t love anything she is in? No one, that is who.

So, if you want to get paid to watch some of what she has done throughout her 80+ year career and you are over 18, then apply here.
