The real star of Twisters walked the red carpet!
July 12th, 2024 under Glen Powell. [ Comments: none ]

Yesterday, Twisters premiered in Los Angeles, and the movie’s stars walked the red carpet, including Glen Powell. However, he was stuck carrying the film’s real celebrity.

Who was it? It is Brisket, the scene-stealing dog who everyone loves!

All movie premieres should have an animal walk the red carpet! Because they will get everyone barking about the feature! It got me talking about Twisters. But I love disaster films. However, not as much as dogs!

BTWF: Glen Powell in Spy Kids 3
June 4th, 2024 under Before They Were Famous, Glen Powell. [ Comments: none ]

Before Glen Powell was flying high in Top Gun: Maverick, he was able to elevate himself without a plane on Spy Kids 3. How cute was the 14-year-old in his debut role?

I think Glen Powell regrets bringing his parents to the Hit Man premiere
May 16th, 2024 under Glen Powell. [ Comments: none ]

Yesterday was the premiere of Hit Man in Austin, and Glen Powell brought his parents, Glen and Cyndy.

Most celebrities love to bring the people who raised them to events. But, I think Powell is wishing he didn’t. That is because his mom held a sign that read, “Stop trying to make Glen Powell to happen, and his dad’s said, “It’s never going to happen.”

The Top Gun might play a hit man, but it was his parents who put a hit on him. Ouch!

Hit Man hits theaters on May 24th and Netflix on June 7th.

This is the summer of Twisters on the big screen
May 8th, 2024 under Glen Powell, Movies. [ Comments: none ]

For nearly 20 years, we have eagerly been waiting for a sequel to the 1996 disaster film Twister, which starred Helen Hunt and Bill Paxton as storm chasers chasing tornados.

On July 19th, we are going to meet two new teams of chasers, and there are going to be several Twisters from them to chase.

Edgar-Jones stars as Kate Cooper, a former storm chaser haunted by a devastating encounter with a tornado during her college years who now studies storm patterns on screens safely in New York City. She is lured back to the open plains by her friend, Javi (Golden Globe nominee Anthony Ramos, In the Heights) to test a groundbreaking new tracking system. There, she crosses paths with Tyler Owens (Glen Powell), the charming and reckless social-media superstar who thrives on posting his storm-chasing adventures with his raucous crew, the more dangerous the better.

As storm season intensifies, terrifying phenomena never seen before are unleashed, and Kate, Tyler and their competing teams find themselves squarely in the paths of multiple storm systems converging over central Oklahoma in the fight of their lives.

It is going to be interesting to see how different this movie is going to be as compared to the original because of all of the advancements in special effects. CGI can help or destroy blockbusters like this, and I really hope it works in Twisters’ favor.

Disaster Films are my favorite genre, and Hollywood doesn’t make enough of them. If this does well, then maybe next summer we can see more movies about natural disasters.

Glen Powell reacts to The Hollywood Reporter confusing him for Justin Hartley
January 8th, 2024 under Glen Powell, Justin Hartley, Not The Same Person. [ Comments: none ]

I guess that Glen Powell and Justin Hartley look alike. At least, according to The Hollywood Reporter, who confused the Top Gun: Maverick actor for the one that starred in This Is Us.

So did the Scream Queens star scream when he saw he saw their mistake? Nope. Instead, he took to social media and wrote, “I think this is the perfect time to announce that ⁦@justinhartley⁩ and I will be starring in the most boring body-swap movie of all time.”

Green Arrow hasn’t given the green light to the project. But then again, he has not posted on Twitter since 2022.

Would you watch it? Powell sold me on it!
