Kevin McHale talks about Glee!
September 30th, 2009 under Glee. [ Comments: none ]

Kevin McHale who plays Artie Abrams on Glee recently talked to me about the show and what his favorite song so far on the hit series at the Fox Eco party.
Kevin’s energy and passion for the show are infectious as he is as you will see in the above interview. And he has every reason to be that way. The success of Glee has been monumental and it is great to see that the cast is enjoying it and are still humble about it all!
So what is coming up for Kevin’s character? He shared with me that he will be doing some more rapping! But first tonight on the show his vocal favorite so far will air and that song is Queen”s Somebody to Love! So will he get a girlfriend anytime soon? He told me, “There might be a little love action, possibly, but you know, it’s Glee and everything happens very crazy. And you don’t know how it’s going to turn out. Just remember that.” Hmmmm, that has me so wondering what that means, but you know it will be interesting and fun.
So what can we expect from the rest of the season, he said “It only gets more interesting and crazier.” I can’t wait to watch it do both every Wednesday on Fox at 9p!

Cory Monteith talks about Glee!!!
September 23rd, 2009 under Glee. [ Comments: 1 ]

The absolutely awwwwdorable and charming Cory Monteith aka Finn Hudson aka Frankenteen talked to me at the Fox Eco Party about the show that is making him a household name! When you talk to him he is so truly humble and totally enjoying working on the show that is as refreshing as the show itself.
Cory plays Finn the quarterback who is tricked into joining Glee and on tonight’s episode he will get tricked into something else, but you will have to watch Glee on Fox at 9p to find out exactly what that is! Now he can’t exactly tell me more about that, but I will say it has something to do with those hysterical scenes where he tries not to…you know…well…release. And OMG because those scenes were so hysterical and well done, I just had to find out what his inspiration was to capture those moments so perfectly and he told me it was Office Space.
Now as we know Glee has lots of musical numbers, so I had to find out which one was his favorite so far and he told me that it is one of the songs featured on next week’s episode. That song is Queen’s Somebody to Love and you have to listen to the interview above to find out why because reading the explanation will not give it justice. You can listen to the song below, and I think it actually blows Journey’s Don’t Stop Believing out of the water and the Glee version was bloody brilliant. I can’t wait to see the performance that goes with the music next Wednesdays at 9p on Fox!
So with all the singing and dancing he does on the show, I wondered if he danced before the show and believe it or not he hasn’t. So I had to ask what it is like to learn the choreography and he told me it is, “It’s crappy. It scares me. I don’t know what I’m doing. I seriously think every day they are going to be like ‘Whoa, we got the wrong guy. We’re gonna fire that dude because why did we hire him.” Why did they hire you, Cory because you are f*cking awesome as Finn. You sincerely are a triple threat! You can sing, dance and act and had you not told me, neither I nor the millions of viewers that are falling in love with you more and more each week would ever had known that you didn’t sing nor dance before Glee!!! Seriously would you have known had he not told me?
Cory, who believe it or not is 27 years old, is having so much fun on the show that he wouldn’t being 37 (10 years form now) and still be in high school for the show and I don’t think he is alone with that desire. So make sure to check him out tonight and every Wednesday at 9p for the most refreshing and enjoyable show in a really long time.
BTW on side note, the camera hates him. As good as he looks on TV he so much better looking in person, so if Glee comes to your hometown with the tour make sure to go see him and the cast just to see how good looking he is in person…and to support the show!!!

So what is the first fall show to get a a full season pick up? File this under no duh, it was the first one to premiere back in May and that show is Glee!!! Start singing Fox’s praises because they didn’t Stop Believing in the most anticipated show of the fall season. I can’t wait to see what storylines and songs they come up with for the bottom nine because if they are as good as the first 13 it is going to be one awesome season to cheer about!!!

Time to sing again because Glee is back tonight!!!
September 9th, 2009 under Glee. [ Comments: none ]

Finally after months of waiting we are getting a whole new episode of Glee on Fox at 9p and let’s just say good things come to those who wait!
Tonight’s episode picks up where the last one left off. Will Schuester is still trying to get recruits for Glee to keep it alive and he is going to have them perform at an assembly to try to get some new members. What song he wants them to sing is not what they want to do, so they take matters in their own hands. And let’s say they were right because they actually made Push It raunchier than it already was!
Besides getting a few new awesome songs, we are also getting to know the characters on the show a little better. We go home with Will and see the relationship he has with his pregnant wife and as we have seen in the promos she really isn’t. Wait until you see how the show handles her situation, let’s just say it has Glee creator’s Ryan Murphy’s touch all over it. He is not the only teacher we get to know, we learn why Emma Pillsbury (can Jayma Mays be any cuter) is as neurotic as she is and it really makes sense. Sue Sylvester (Jane Lynch is so brilliant) gets a job as a commentator on a local news station and I want one of her on my local news. You would think that job would keep her busy enough to leave Glee alone, but what would the fun in that be for us? Now what about those Glee kids, Rachel Berry has her eye set on two prizes being the star of Glee and Finn Hudson. Which one do you think is more attainable for her? And when she doesn’t get what she wants, she makes changes. Finn has his own problems with his girlfriend and his teammates accepting him on Glee. Then there is Kurt Hummel and in two weeks he will be really good at something you never ever thought he would be good at! We learn a lot more about him and he will win our hearts over and we won’t be the only ones.
Whenever I start think that Hollywood is running out of original ideas, I put on Glee and I get reminded that there is still some brilliant thinking out there! I am so glad that Glee is not a one episode wonder because after seeing two more since the pilot, I can’t wait for more and I know you will feel the same way I do!!! So sign up for Glee tonight and every Wednesday at 9p on Fox following So You Think You Can Dance. BTW SYTYCD is making its fall premiere tonight at 8p!
