Seven years ago today, we were all horrified and saddened when we heard that Cory Monteith passed away from a drug overdose. Last week, Glee fans had the same emotions when they heard that Naya Rivera went missing after going on a boat ride with her 4-year-old son Josey in Lake Piru.
Ever since July 9th, crews have been searching for the actress, and today they found a body in the lake. As of now, it is not confirmed to be her, but Ventura Sheriff’s Office is holding a press conference at 2p PST to talk about it.
For four days, we held out hope that maybe somehow she made it onshore and was OK. However, when I saw that today marks the seventh anniversary of her co-star’s death, I had a feeling they were going to find her. I bet he helped guide them to her body so that her family could get closure and say their goodbyes.
There was a point in their search when they were unsure if they would ever be able to find her. In a few hours, we will know.
What a sad end to someone who had such a bright future as a mom and actress. May her son grow up knowing how special she was and how much she loved him.

I pray deeply for the Rivera family and that God blankets them with strength, peace, and love right now. Mychal and Nickayla – you will always be like younger siblings to me and I love you dearly. I watched you two grow up into beautiful adults. George and Yolanda – whatever you need I am here for you. We are forever family and I love you.
I ask everyone reading this to please lift up, along with the entire Rivera family, Ryan and Josey in prayer and to respect what they are going through during this time. I pray that God showers the entire family with strength and peace that only He can give.

A sad fact about this show. Redd Foxx played her grandfather on the sitcom. One day when they working on it, the legendary actor suffered a heart attack on the set and did not survive. She knew tragedy at such a young. She was about the same age as her song is now when it happened.
Naya Rivera rented a boat yesterday afternoon at Lake Piru in Ventura County, and she has gone missing.
According to KABC, around 4p the actress’ son was seen sleeping by himself on the boat by another boat. The other people called authorities about the situation. When they got to her son, he was wearing a life vest, and an adult life vest was still on the boat. Josey, 4, told the autorities that his mom went under and never came up.
The sheriff’s office searched for her until 10p last night with no luck. They are back at the lake this morning looking for her body because they presume that she sadly drowned.
If she is dead, she will be the third person from Glee to die an untimely death. Cory Monteith died of a drug overdose in 2013, and Mark Salling committed suicide in 2018 after being charged with child pornography. You can say that that show is cursed.
Rivera learned about death at an early age. In 1991, Redd Foxx suffered a heart attack on the set of their show The Royal Family, and he passed away.
Rivera also had some controversy in her adult life. Her ex-husband, Ryan Dorsey, called the police on her and claimed that she attacked him during a family Thanksgiving trip. They divorced in 2018.
I am praying for a miracle. Maybe she made got swept under, and somehow made it to shore alive.
Two days ago, Samantha Marie Ware said that Lea Michele made her life a ‘living hell’ on Glee. Today, Heather Morris confirmed on social media that it was “unpleasant” to work with her on the set.
Let me be very clear, Hate is a disease in America that we are trying to cure, so I would never wish for hate to be spread to anyone else. With that said, was she unpleasant to work with? Very much so; for Lea to treat others with the disrespect that she did for as long as she did, I believe she SHOULD be called out. And yet, it’s also on us because to allow it to go on for so long without speaking out is something else we’re learning along with the rest of society. But, at the current moment its implied that she is a racist and although I cannot comment on her beliefs, I think we’re assuming, and you know what happens when we all assume…
I can’t wait for Naya Rivera to break her silence. After all, it was rumored that Rivera and Michele hated each other so much that they didn’t talk during the final season of the show.
