 Ghosts/CBS
If you ask a fan of CBS’s Ghosts what their favorite episode is, then they will tell you all ten of the ones that have aired so far. However, CBS wants us to limit that number down to five. So they are asking us to tell them on their Twitter page, which ones you want to see on December 23rd for the Ghostmas mini-marathon by the 15th. The winners will be announced on the 18th.
I say we should pick the best five, so we can get more people to watch the most enjoyable new sitcom in a really long time. Long enough for the last one to be a ghost. See what I did there?
Anyways, it is not about me? It is about Ghosts! Today, I spoke to the cast, Rose McIver, Utkarsh Ambudkar, Brandon Scott Jones, Richie Moriarty, Asher Grodman, Rebecca Wisocky, Sheila Carrasco, Danielle Pinnock, Roman Zaragoza, and Devan Chandler Long, along with EPs Joe Port and Joe Wiseman, at the CBS TCA Winter Press Day, and they told me their favorite episodes. I will tell you what they said on the day of the marathon. But I will give you a little preview, and that is that McIver said it is the season 2 premiere because that means they got picked up for another one. I kind of agree with her, but I would have preferred she said season 10. Something I am sure pantless Grodman might disagree with after season three.
.But that’s a long ways away. Let’s focus on the upcoming episodes after the marathon. Soon we will not be playing, guess which ghost will not be appearing on that episode. That is because they will all be in it for the second half of the season. We are going to find out how and why Trevor died with no pants on. And the best part is we will meet Sasapiss’ (Roman Zaragoza) dad, and he will be played by Roman’s real dad Gregory Zaragoza. How cool is that?>
There is so much to look forward to, and we can only do that if we get more people to watch. So, let’s pick our favorite episodes and tell everyone we know to watch on the 23rd! What else are we going to do as we prepare for Christmas over the next two days? Let’s do something we like before we go into family hell.
Merry Ghostmas!

Get possessed by Ghosts tonight on CBS! |

Tonight at 9p on CBS, one of the Ghosts possesses Jay on what is a very important day for him.
Sam (Rose McIver) and Jay (Utkarsh Ambudkar) are going to meet with a wedding planner to possibly hold a wedding at the mansion. What could go wrong? When the electrician cancels on them again, Jay decides to do the work himself. He doesn’t know what he is doing, so he gets electrocuted. Then he winds up falling back on Hetty (Rebecca Wisocky), causing her to get stuck inside of him.
Well, if you are a ghost who hasn’t been in a living body in like 150 years, what would you do? Exactly what Hetty does and takes over completely.
However, that is bad because the wedding planner is there, and he wants to be served a meal from Jay. But Hetty just wants to enjoy the ingredients that she has never tried.
Meanwhile, the other Ghosts are trying to help Sam come up with a way to free Jay of Hetty. Isaac (Brandon Scott Jones) says the same thing happened to him, and they did an exorcism to free him. So Sam makes some phone calls, and no one is available to help her.
Pete (Richie Moriarty), Trevor (Asher Grodman), Alberta (Danielle Pinnock), and Sasappis (Roman Zaragoza) are jealous of Hetty. But they are still trying to help Sam and Jay stop the wedding planner from leaving. That is when the Ghosts tell Flower (Sheila Carrasco) to do what she does to stop him.
It works, but Hetty is still in Jay, and she is not letting go. Will Jay finally have control of his body before the couple’s bed and breakfast is blacklisted before it is even opened for business?
You are not going to want to miss this show’s best episode to date, and they have all been phenomenal. And phenomenal is what Ambudkar is tonight as he takes on Wisocky’s character’s personality. There were times I forgot he was still him because it really was like he possessed his co-star’s personality.
Writer Rishi Chitkara understood the assignment and gave us an episode we will be watching over and over again. It is so rare that a program delivers an episode as enjoyable as this one. But Ghosts keeps doing it every week, and tonight is the sweetest one of them all.
So tune in, fall in love with it, and then watch all the episodes while all of the shows are on hiatus for winter break.

The Ghosts’ cast isn’t treating Critics Choice nom Brandon Scott Jones any differently |

Today the Critic Choice Association announced who they nominated for their awards show that airs on January 9th on The CW and TBS. One of the nominees is Ghosts’ Brandon Scott Jones for Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series.
So, how did his fellow castmates react to this news? They had a jolly good time…without him. Basically, the same as before he was nominated.
Just joking. This is what Scott’s co-star Asher Grodman wrote with the video he posted, “THE hilarious and wonderful @brandonscottjones is now nominated for a @criticschoice award for his work in @ghostscbs …and things will never be the same. Congratulations Brandon!”
Of course, this video was just for fun. Anyone who watches the sitcom can tell how splendidly the cast all get along on the set. If you haven’t watched the Thursday night program on CBS at 9p, then this week is a good time to start. This week’s episode is the best one yet, and all of them are so enjoyable to watch over and over again. Believe me. I have seen each ep at least three times.

Alberta finds out she is still loved on Ghosts tonight |

Tonight at 9p on CBS’s Ghosts, Alberta finds out she is still loved nearly 100 years after her death.
Alberta (Danielle Pinnock) was a Jazz singer in the Roarin’ 20s, but she met her fate in the house and has been stuck there ever since. She never knew if people still adored her like they did when she was alive. However, that is all about to change when a man named Todd comes to visit.
He tells Sam (Rose McIver) and Jay (Utkarsh Ambudkar) that he is there because he is writing a book about Alberta. Not only that, he is part of a museum that is dedicated to her. Alberta is so happy she is loved that she could die…again.
She is even happier when he asks to be Sam and Jay’s first Bed and Breakfast guest. That is until he reveals something that shocks even her. Actually, it shocks everyone and grosses them out too. And me too.
Anyways as shocking as all of that is, we find out something at the end of episode that is a game-changer. What? I can’t tell you.
But I can tell you it is so lovely that Pinnock finally got her episode to shine! Her character stands out, but now it is time for her to get a standalone episode. The writers did an excellent job for her.
They also did good with the story they wrote for Hetty (Rebecca Wisocky) and Thorfinn (Devan Chandler). It turns out that they have been connected since she was a living girl. She forgot about that until tonight, and this changes their friendship in a very sweet way.
I just love Ghosts. You should too. So watch it every Thursday at 9p on CBS.

What if Ghosts were a ’90s sitcom? |
December 1st, 2021 under Ghosts. [ Comments: none ]

Ghosts’ actress Danielle Pinnock imagined what it would be like if the CBS sitcom aired in the ’90s as compared to 2021.
Therefore, she dressed up like all of her co-stars, Rose McIver, Utkarsh Ambudkar, Brandon Scott Jones, Richie Moriarty, Asher Grodman, Rebecca Wisocky, Sheila Carrasco, Roman Zaragoza, and Devan Chandler Long, and partied like it was 1999. Well, maybe not all of them, but you can’t blame her for skipping that other ghost.
.
Anyways, seeing what she did here is why we love her as Alberta on the show that airs Thursdays at 9p. Oh, and did I mention we get her character’s backstory tomorrow? It is another episode that will make you laugh, get the feels, and laugh some more. And that is why they couldn’t make Ghosts in the ’90s. Back then, they weren’t as smart as they are now. It was all cheese back then, and this program is anything but cheesy.
