George Lopez had one of his talk show mentors Arsenio Hall had his TBS show Lopez tonight and he revealed 2 TMIs about Paula Abdul. He told George that she would laugh so hard at his joke, she would be pee in her pants. I am not sure I believe that because I have seen his stand up, and I didn’t even crack a smile. Now if that reveal wasn’t enough, he also told George she is good in bed. I am sure Simon Cowell and I could’ve lived without knowing that.
BTW I wonder where George Lopez dug up Arsenio Hall from because I haven’t seen him in years…and I was OK with that.
Yesterday Sandra Bullock was on George Lopez’s new late night show on TBS Lopez Tonight and he gave her a Chola makeover. Wow, that look so did not work for her, but you got to love that she handled it so well. I wonder when all was said and done she regretted producing his sitcom for what he did to her? I know I would! Although maybe it opens up a whole new genre of movies for her do? Instead of romantic comedies she can be doing grittier movies. How much fun would it be to see her play a tough girl? Nah, scratch that.
BTW with her Chola look she almost looks like she did when she was on the sitcom Working Girl back in 1990
Before George Lopez had his own late night talk show on TBS, he was part of the Ski Patrol. He looks the same now as he did when he was 28 in that 1990 movie.

I never realized how scary George Lopez’s eyes were until these close-ups of him. Seriously could they be any more bug-eyed? I guess you could say that Tyra Bank would love him because she always tells her models to speak with their eyes and his are definitely speaking loud and clear.
I am at the Cable TCAs and I am blogging about George Lopez’s show, so if it is out of order it is because I am live blogging it!!
George Lopez goes from sitcom success to try his hand at a talk show on TBS at 11p. He is happy to bring it to cable because it the right place for him. Back when Arsenio Hall has his own late night talk show, George was on it over 20 times and he is asking Arsenio for advice. Lopez is also real and realizes that his toughest competition will be novelas, he knows he won’t win that battle.
The show will have that feeling it will be taped outside, but in reality it will tape on a set on the Warner Bros lot in Burbank. They were getting too many complaints from Two and a Half Men when they were taping outside, so they recreated the outside look inside.
George says that his show might not always start with a monologue if the guest is big enough he will open with them. He wants his show to be open and like a party. He wants his guests to feel welcome. He will try to keep his show current by going as close to air time as possible.
When asked how he is prepping for his interview skills, he said, “he will be spending August at the University of Phoenix”. LOL! His past experience with being a popular talk show guest has prepared him for doing interviews.
I am looking forward to seeing what he can do with his show, so remember to check him out in November on TBS when it starts to air.
