The show that didn’t seem like it would ever die, is dead. Fox has finally cancelled Til Death. The show’s star Brad Garret told Zap2It, “‘Til Death” is done for good. “The other night, we got an 0.8 [rating]. Once your mom stops watching, you’re an 0.4. The network said, ‘What do you suggest?’ I said, ‘If you give me one more month, I can take you to a zero.’ And there was dead silence.”
I have to admit I am one of the few viewers left that was helping the show get a .4 rating. I am bummed that Fox didn’t renew the show because I wanted to see how many more actresses they could get to play Brad and Joely Fisher’s daughter Allison, they were already up their 4th one. I think that is most replacements for one character on any show, so at least the show will go down in the record books for something.
BTW catch the final episodes on Fox tonight and every Sunday for an hour starting at 7p!
One of my favorite shows is Kitchen Nightmares and today Fox announced that Gordon Ramsey will be back to clean up and fix more restaurants next season. The thing I like about this show is Gordon goes in tough, but if these restaurants are going to him they need some tough love from him, and then he changes them for the better and leaves with them hugging him. It is interesting to watch what changes he makes to these places in such a short period of time. Not all of them have disgusting kitchens like the place above, some of them have people with disgusting attitudes running them and Gordon goes in and cleans them up. One of the places that Gordon fixed up was right by me and the owner didn’t listen and ignored all that he told him. A few months after the episode aired the restaurant closed down and the place that replaced it is still open two years later. See Gordon knows his sh!t!
Before Gordon saves more restaurants from closing down, watch the ones he saved every Friday night on Fox at 9p!
Tonight on Fox at 9:30p, a non-animated sitcom moves in and even though Sons of Tucson is not cartoon Taylor Labine is so animated that you won’t realize it is not like the three shows airing before it. Taylor Labine plays a sports store employee who is hired by three boys to pretend to be their father so they can get into school. The three boys’ real father is in jail and Taylor is hired by them to fake it. By the end of the first episode, the boys realize they need a fake father more than they thought and Taylor needs a place to live so they come up with a deal that has him moving in and them having a fake dad whenever they need one and we get a show that has laughing out loud several times throughout the half hour.
I have seen the first three episodes of this comedy and can I tell you I found myself in hysterics several time. So check it tonight and every Sunday at 9:30p for a show that will ease you back into your work/school week.
Looks like after 8 hellish days aka 8 seasons, the clock for 24 will stop in May. According to Variety Fox will make a decision within the next day whether or not to let Jack Bauer save another day, but it is looking like they won’t. The trade added that the studio will shop around the show, but because of the show’s increasing costs and declining viewership, it doesn’t look like there will be any buyers. There is still talk of a movie, but since we are still waiting for Veronica Mars and Arrested Development to hit the big screen I won’t hold my breath.
If Fox decided to stop 24’s clock, will you be upset or be like it had a good run? they don’t even watch. So I think that Fox is making the right choice, but I hope in its place they brinf back Brothers and ‘Til Death!
I remember when the show first started out, I had friends that were so addicted to the show but now
Fox has pulled Past Life from its schedule after last night’s airing and will replace it with new episodes of Kitchen Nightmares according to The Live Feed. Past Life only aired 3 episodes, but the show did not do well in the ratings and placed 4th yesterday in its timeslot. I am so bummed that Fox pulled the show because I really liked it. It was so much different than all the other procedurals. Oh well, at least Fox is saying as of now they will burn off the remaining episodes at some point during the season, ie over the summer when they need a time filler.
