Fox admits they screwed up on Million Dollar Money Drop…sort of
December 27th, 2010 under Fox. [ Comments: none ]

When Gabe Okoye and Brittany Mayti answered what came first Post-It Notes or the Walkman on Million Dollar Money Drop, Gabe placed $800,000 of his $880,000 on Post-it Notes even though both came out before the 25 year old was born. The show said he was wrong even though he was right. They continued to play and eventually lost all of their money.
Well the wrong answer caused an internet frenzy and it was found out that the couple was correct. The show’s executive producer Joel Apploff released a statement to the NY Times saying that “the product was originally tested for sale in four cities under the name ‘Press ’N Peel’ in 1977, sold as ‘Post-its’ in 1979 when the rollout introduction began and sold nationwide in 1980.” He then thanked viewers “who brought this to our attention.”
So because of the mistake Fox has asked the couple to come back on the show, but there is a catch they are not getting the $800,000 because because he said that “was not the deciding question in their game.”
So will they come back? As of now they are undecided because they don’t want to deal with that stress again. I can’t say I blame them, but I personally think that they were screwed and should get the $800,000 back because who is to say they would’ve gone on had they gotten the answer right on the show when they really did.

Is Fox afraid of NCIS?
November 20th, 2010 under Fox, NCIS. [ Comments: 3 ]

Fox announced their new mid-season lineup and American Idol is moving to Wednesdays and Thursdays. I have to wonder if Fox is afraid of TV’s top rated shows CBS’s NCIS and ABC’s Dancing with the Stars and that is why they are movingIdol away from them. Plus there has been plenty of speculation that AI will no longer be TV top rated show for the season now that Simon Cowell left the show and he is being replaced by Steven Tyler and J-Lo, and moving it nights where there is less competition might help its ratings? The good news is Bones is getting a great lead-in at 9p on Thursday, the bad news is that Fringe is moving to the Friday deathslot against Supernatural. American Dad also was given the writing on the wall because Fox moved it to Sundays at 7:30p, although looking at the preview of Bob’s Burgers it might get its old time slot back and the writing might be erased. Hopefully!

Hell’s Kitchen cooks up its 100th episode tonight!!!
October 13th, 2010 under Fox. [ Comments: none ]

After 8 seasons, 100 dinner services, 116 contestants, 10,000 dinner guests, 13 hospital visits and 10,452 cuss words, Hell’s Kitchen serves up its 100th episode tonight starting at 8p on Fox! Just like a good meal, this show never gets boring and is always yummy. And just like an excellent restaurant, I crave it more and more after each episode! So celebrate the 99th and 100th episodes tonight on Fox and watch as Gordon Ramsay gets ready to prepare his next 100 episodes!!!
BTW I am hoping that Sabrina finally gets what coming to her. It is amazing she has gone this long on the show without getting major Hell from Chef!!!

The first show of the new season to get a fill season pick up is…
October 6th, 2010 under Fox, NBC. [ Comments: none ]

Fox announced today that it picked up Raising Hope for a full season by ordering the back 9 episodes. Out of all the new shows of the season, this was not the one I expected to be the first one to get a full season order. I thought CBS would’ve ordered a Hang 9 to Hawaii Five-0 first or The CW would’ve cheered on Hellcats or NBC would’ve made The Event’s pick up and event or ABC…well let’s No Ordinary Family another week. Seriously Raising Hope is doing OK and not that great in the ratings, so why this show over the other show that have been doing great in the ratings? I guess Fox sees something in the show that I don’t. Maybe it is me, but this show just didn’t do anything for me. Now I have to wonder if the pick up is a nail in Running Wilde’s coffin because maybe Fox will start running back to back episodes of Hope when they finally tame Keri Russell’s show like she tamed her hair…

UPDATE: While the news was good over Fox, the news wasn’t as good over at Fox. The Live Feed is reporting that NBC has halted production on Outlaw. The Jimmy Smits show has aired three episodes and has filmed 5 more, the network at this time plans to air the remaining eps to see if the ratings can improve. If they do then the show will go back in production, if not it will join Lone Star and My Generation. I know I am in the minority, but I actually like this show. It is different than other legal dramas because it takes cases that no one else wants. So please watch this show on Friday at 10p so we can get this show back in production! C’mon NBC what show that doesn’t have Tom Selleck in it ever does well on Friday night at 10p???

The first cancelled show of the new season is…
September 28th, 2010 under Fox. [ Comments: none ]

The new fall season is only a week old and we already have our first cancellation of the season. Fox announced today that it was pulling Lone Star from its line up effective immediately and replacing it with the new season of Lie to Me. The Tim Roth show will begin its third season next Monday at 9p after House.
Personally I didn’t think that Lone Star would be the first show cancelled, but the one that I thought would be is did well in the ratings. Are you shocked Lone Star was the first show cancelled? What do you think will be the next one to face the ax???
