After 4 episodes of narrowing down thousands of the contestants to just 18, the real cooking starts tonight at 9p on Fox’s MasterChef.
First a quick tour of their new kitchen, and then it is time to start preparing their first meal for the Mystery Box Challenge. The chefs are ready and most of them try to use the most unusual ingredient in the box some correctly and others not so much. But just like any other competition there can only be one winner and now they have an advantage over the other 17. They must choose from what European country their next dish is coming from. They didn’t choose the obvious and they didn’t choose the one I wanted, but the one they picked was enough to mess with several of the other people they were competing with. So much so that not one, but two of them will be going home.
This show wets my pallet in more than one way, so watch it tonight at 9p and tomorrow at 8p to see what yummy dishes they will come up with to appease your appetite!
Yesterday on MasterChef Gordon Ramsey asked the Top 24 contestants all to make a dish with the same main ingredient. When he told them what they were cooking with he used a real live chicken to show them. Well I guess all those chickens have had enough of him cooking and serving them to his patrons, so the one he was holding sh!t on his shoes.
Because the cameras were rolling Chef laughed off the Kitchen Nightmare. But you know as soon as they were done filming that chicken tasted really good in what ever dish he prepared it in in his Hell’s Kitchen.
Thankfully celebs never learn that when they say something is going to go on YouTube, it will!!!
BTW you can see the Top 18 finalists battle it on MasterChef Monday at 9p and Tuesday at 8p on Fox.
Last year Jane Lynch won an Emmy for Glee and this year she is going to host them on September 18th. Sue Sylvester had this to say about the hosting the telecast on Fox, . “I’m looking forward to singing, dancing and sporting my finest tracksuit.â€
I love Jane Lynch and I think she is a fantastic actress, but I wish they chose someone else to host it. She is great in short spurts, but I am not sure how well she will do hosting a whole awards show. I am sure Mark Burnett (mega-reality show producer) will have her Glee kids helping her out. I am kind of hoping that he will have them singing the noms. What do you think of her hosting the Emmys?
OK Geeks, there is nothing more we can do for Chuck. So let’s get behind a show that desperately needs our help to get back on the air. Please tune in to Breaking In tonight on Fox at 9:30p and if we get as many nerds that attend Comic Con every year to watch the show, then the cast will be there to preview their second season in San Diego. I don’t know if they really will be there, but show creator and fellow geek Adam F Goldberg will be there. This show unlike other shows about Geeks is written by them. They understand you, and you understand the show. So let’s show them that you are the cool kids and give Breaking In with Christian Slater, Bret Harrison, Michael Rosenbaum Odette Annabell and Alphonso McAuley a much deserved second season.
And more importantly let’s show Christian Slater what it is like to have a show get renewed!!!
So listen you Star Trek loving, Star Wars quoting, action figure and comic book collecting and Truffle Shuffle dancing Geeks, let’s save Breaking In!!!!
