It is very rare that you will watch a pilot that is so engaging that it will Touch you in ways you never have been before, and that is exactly what Fox’s Touch will do to you during a special preview at 9p tonight. Touch is unlike any show that you have ever seen before and I have a feeling that we will start to see copycats after it kicks major a$$ in the ratings.
Kiefer Sutherland plays a widowed father to a ten year old boy who hasn’t ever spoken a word in his entire life. Now all of a sudden he is climbing a tower at 3:18p once a week and it is unknown why. Sutherland starts to realize that isn’t the only thing his son does with the number 318 and that number will have a connection to something huge. A connection that will be felt around the world. And just like the world is round, there will be a circle of people that will touch at least one of the other people in it to change something major, all because of a little boy.
With that you have a series that you will have to guessing why one boy can see why certain people will need to connect with each other. Even though he knows what needs to happen, he cannot express it way you and I understand so his dad will have to do it for us. A task that is easier said than done.
Tune in for a show that will touch you in a way you have never been touched before. I can’t express the feelings you will have after watching, but once you watch the episode tonight you will understand what I mean. It will just leave with you a lot of emotions and amazement and something undescribable.
Tonight at 8p J.J. Abrams latest show Alcatraz hits the airwaves with a two hour premiere and it is rock solid.
San Francisco Police Department Det. Rebecca Madsen (Sarah Jones) is called into investigate a murder, but it is quickly pulled from her by government agent Emerson Hauser (Sam Neill). Since she is someone who doesn’t back down, she decides to investigate the case on her own. In doing her research she finds out the killer has ties to Alcatraz, so she seeks out an expert who writes about the long dissolved prison that no one escaped from…or did they. Dr. Diego Soto (Jorge Garcia) tells her that the man she is looking in to served time at Alcatraz and after it was closed down he served time somewhere else until he died. Yeah, that’s right her suspect has been dead for decades and there is no way he could’ve killed that guy…or is there? Seems we don’t know everything that happened to all of the people who were doing hard time there because as we learn the inescapable prison didn’t close down, it was shut when everyone inside suddenly disappeared one night. Now all those missing are starting to come back in our time and it will be up to Hauser, Madsen and Soto to get them back to where they belong and find out where they have been.
There are a lot of twist and turns and ohhs and ahhs and Alcatraz already has me locked into finding out what happens next. It is such an arresting show, you will not be able to escape this thrilling mystery every Monday no matter how hard you try.
The independent movie hit Napoleon Dynamite is getting something from Fox tonight at 8:30p and 9:30p it never got in theaters, animated reactions. The deadpan movie is becoming an animated series and they are all getting to do things they never did in the film. But don’t worry they still have blank emotions. So if you loved the movie, you are going to love the latest addition to Fox’s Animation Domination lineup.
Fringe won’t be back with a new episode on Fox until next Friday at 9p, but they released a teaser for what’s coming up and I can’t wait. Whoever cuts the promos for this show really knows how to make you want to watch. Granted I was already for excited to watch now that Peter is finally back on the show.
