Fox brings back Name That Tune!
November 18th, 2020 under Fox. [ Comments: none ]

Back in the early ’50s, we got introduced to a game show called Name That Tune, and it went on for over 30 years. The premise is easy. All you have to do is tell the host, Jane Krakowski, how many notes it will take you to name a tune.

It sounds easy when you get something like Eye of the Tiger by Survivor. What happens when you get Pressure by Queen and David Bowie, and you think it is Vanilla Ice’s Ice, Ice Baby? Then that adds a lot of pressure to the game. Which, in turn, makes it more fun for us!

What makes it more fun for the contestant is that they can win $100,000 in the final round. Who doesn’t want to get that much dough?

Did I mention who the band leader is? It is Randy Jackson. We will get Paula Abdul on The Masked Dancer at 8p, and the dog at 9p. It is almost like American Idol is back on Fox.

Name That Tune debuts on January 7th.

Paula Abdul returns to Fox as a Judge
October 28th, 2020 under Ashley Tisdale, Fox, Ken Jeong, Paula Abdul. [ Comments: none ]

Back in 2002, Paula Abdul joined Fox as a Judge on American Idol. Since then, she has also spent a season doing that on So You Think You Can Dance and The X-Factor. In December, she will be back in that seat alongside Ken Jeong, Ashley Tisdale, and Brian Austin Green on The Masked Dancer.

The four of them will judge celebrities as they dance in different costumes. Think of the show as The Masked Singer but with dancers. The only thing they have in common is Ken Jeong. I am going to say this, with love for him, but man Fox needs to find someone else. He is so overexposed that he is becoming annoying.

If they needed someone from the mothership show, I wish they would have gone with Nicole Scherzinger. At least she knows something about dancing. On that note, I wish they would have used one of the dancers from So You Think You Can Dance like Lacey Schwimmer instead of Brian Austin Green as a judge. It just would be nice if they all knew a little something about dancing. It should not all be up to Paula Abdul to explain it to everyone. I know it is not Dancing with the Stars, but…

Are you going to watch? Undecided? Then what if I told you that the highlarious Craig Robinson is hosting? I love that man and his humor!

Fox’s drama will be back in January
October 21st, 2020 under Fox. [ Comments: none ]

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, Fox delayed most of its regular shows. Now, we know when they will be back. Well, at least what month they will return to the airwaves.

9-1-1 and its spinoff 9-1-1: Lone Star will be paired up on Mondays starting in January. This is a genius move on their part. Then on Tuesdays, we will get new episodes of The Resident and Prodigal Son. Also returning that month is Last Man Standing for its last season.

As much as I love Animation Domination on Sundays, I have been missing Fox’s live-action scripted shows. What about you?

Molly McCook shares one of the perks for actors on the set during COVID-19
October 14th, 2020 under Fox. [ Comments: none ]

Molly McCook is back on the set of the Last Man Standing, and there have been some changes on the set of the Fox sitcom. Now, the actors are the only ones who are allowed to sit on the set furniture. It is not because their butts are better. Well, depends on the actor. However, it is because of safety for all involved on the show.
